What Happened to Draco and Harry? Book 3.

Chapter Four

"So how are we going to sneak me into Hogwarts?"

Harry looked up from where he was packing his trunk and stared at Draco. The blond was sitting on Harry's dresser with his legs crossed, starring expectantly at Harry. In response Harry went back to packing.

"Didn't Remus and everyone else agree that it would be a bad idea for you to return to Hogwarts. Everyone already thinks you come after me for ruining your plans last year."

Not long after Draco's escape The Daily Prophet announced a article saying that Draco escaped for revenge and was seeking the young Potter. Something about avenging the beliefs of his parents and their master. It was completely stupid and the paper and those similar that reached the family was used as fuel for the fireplace.

"Yeah, but how am I supposed to actually keep you safe if I'm stuck here." Draco jumped down from his perch on the dresser and approached Harry. He stopped at the end of his bed and leanedk on the bed post. During the summer James and Harry moved into Grimmauld place permanently. It was supposed to be for comfort in the beginning, but that quickly changed into a regular family dynamic with Draco's return. Also it was convenient that James disliked packing enough that he "lost" his cases. By lost Harry mean that they should be on the beach somewhere Tropical by now.

"I don't believe you need to protect me. If anything you should be the one being protected." Harry argued. "You're the one that was tortured first year."

"So they could get to you."

"You were also put under the Imperius curse second year."

There was a long pause. "You got me on that one. I have no idea what Snape was thinking." Draco admitted falling gracefully onto Harry's bed. "I can't just stay here cooped up Harry. I don't care if I learn anything, but I have to do something."

Harry let out a sigh. Since returning from Azkaban there has been a mixed reaction around Draco. Remus would switch between clutching at him as if someone would take him away again, which was likely, and just staring at the boy. As if he couldn't believe he was there. Even when someone would point it out Remus would just mumble something that no one could hear and continue staring.

The Black brothers had an entirely different way of what ever it was that the family was doing. They have been less annoying to Draco. They haven't said one mean thing, not like anything they said before would be considered mean to Draco because he knew them and they were family, actually they have been stepping around Draco like he was broken glass. He wasn't even something to be handled with caution. No he was already broken and had to be approached with heavily layered glass.

Harry knew that this was there way of supporting Draco in case Azkaban and the Dementors was too much. He also knew that it was pissing Draco off to an extreme.

"Maybe you can sneak me in as a familiar. It's not uncommon for a young wizard to have a familiar." Now Draco was just grasping at straws.

"We don't even know what your animagus form is. Let alone if it could be a familiar." Draco had been using his animagus form more often recently. It was a habit that he picked up that no one wanted to call him out on.

"Still Harry. Please. I can't stay here, not if your there with him."

Harry sighed having just finished his packing and closed the chest with a heavy thunk. Draco, noticing something shift in the other boys demeanor leaned up and laid his weight on his elbows instead of completely laying down.

"Fine." He signed, resigned.

"Yes!" Draco cheered. The other boy having jumped up from the bed and hugged the raven haired boy. Harry just relaxed into the hug and hugged back. He knew that he would regret this eventually, but if seeing Draco happy after what he has been through meant what ever punishment he would evidently get. Then, yeah it was worth it.

Okay so I apologize that this chapter is short. This I do recognize. But I don't know how to continue it without making it too long and not a really good chapter.
