"Okay so your animagus form is apparently called a Vulpus Luppes which is kind of cute." Harry snickered. He and Draco were in the Black family library researching animals in order to find as much as they could on the animal that Draco's form was based off. If Harry was going to have a pet he was going to know everything about it.

"Yeah okay that'll help me." Draco then dipped through the book before stopping on a page. "Apparently the species eats mostly red meat, although it's not impartial to fish or chicken. I don't know if I should have a salad in that form."

"Okay, the Vulpus Luppes has the ability to shrink or grow its size to whatever it pleases." Harry added looking impressed.

"That will be handy if I need to get around undetected." Draco commented as he traded his book for another one.

"Or imitating people." Harry added with a smirk as he imagined Snape ties to a chair with Draco as a huge dog thing growling at him.

"I haven't tried to shrink all too much, I guess I unconsciously did it to hide from dementors. I do remember being smaller than when I would practice at home." There was an awkward silence that followed any time Draco would mention Azkaban or even dementors in general. Draco had come to make off handed jokes about his time imprisoned, but the rest of them didn't find it so amusing. They didn't stop him however, whatever helped.

"Think there's anything else you can do? What if you could like fly or something?" Harry jokes trying to break the atmosphere that had surrounded them. Draco only hummed in acknowledgement and they were back to silence.

"It says here that in the winter, the Vulpus Luppes with white coats can develop a type or invisibility, but it only lasts as long as the temperature is cold. It can happen during rainstorms, but it's not as common."

"That sounds handy. I wonder why though? If they can grow to any size then why would they need that ability. Is there like a predator for the white ones?" Harry asked leaning closer to try to get a peak at the book Draco was reading. They were both facing each other while sitting at a table, so all he could actually see was upside down words.

"The white ones are rare, and their pelt can be used for potions and other charms, I guess they just developed a natural defense....." Draco trailed off eyes running over the words on the page.  "Yeah. Says here that the entire species is adaptable based on what their surrounding and environment are. So I could like develop abilities at random depending on if I feel endangered."

"That's good to know." Harry sighed in relief. At least he knew now that Draco would be safe with him at Hogwarts. He would have called off the deal or even told Remus if they didn't find a way for Draco to remain safe.

Neither knew was Snape would be like this year, as he had 'gotten rid' of whatever nuisance he saw in Draco. Both were trying to be cautious; Draco more so since he knew that Harry would make him stay home if he even thought that something could go wrong.

"So we have the research all we need now is a name?" Name? Draco perked up, looking up from his book at Harry. The other boy have a devious smirk on his face and it made Draco feel uneasy.

"What do you mean name?" Draco asked edging away from the other boy just slightly.

"I mean if you're going to pose as my pet, I am going to need to call you something." Harry started standing up from his chair and coming around to put his hands on Draco's shoulders. "Annnnd. Since I am going to be the owner, I get to choose the name."

'Yep,' Draco gulped feeling dread course through him 'this is not going to end well for me.'

Harry had never been good at naming things and he knew this. Draco only knew because James would come over and tel dramatic tells of what his child had started to call their plants. He only felt better slightly at the knowledge that Hedwig at least had a decent name.

"All right, mate. Go for it." Draco sighed in defeat transforming into his animagus form. Harry smiled and gently scooped up the small creature into his arms and sat down in the chair Draco had been in.

Harry gently started rubbing the creature along its neck and by its ears trying to find the perfect point where Draco would relax. He finally found it just where his neck met the edge of his head and Draco practically melted in him arms.

"It's not going to be too bad. I promise." Harry smiled continuing to pet Draco as he thought over names. By the time he found the perfect one Draco had drifted to sleep in his arms.

He chuckled as he stood up and carried the pup, kit?, upstairs. He passed Remus in the sitting room. The wolf only giving the animal in his arms a glance before smiling and continuing reading. He heard a noise in the kitchen as he made his way to the room him and Draco shared and looked over the banister to see Remus stand up annoyed and march into the kitchen.

He didn't see his dad so he figured he was with the messes. He knew that he was right when a Stag came prancing ungraciously out of the direction where the kitchen was, smashing into a couple family heirlooms on his way.

Harry looked to se if the noise had waken Draco and smiled when he saw he was still asleep.

When he laid Draco down on the bed, and the animal proceeded to curl into a ball, Harry laid down beside him.

"In the morning I'll tell you the name okay? I know you'll like it because it reminds me of you and I know how you have a complex." Harry whispered gunning his fingers through the silky fur.

He had indeed come up with the perfect name for Draco. Prince.

——————————
So hi I hope you enjoyed. The next chapter they'll be in Hogwarts or more precisely on the train. I just wanted a filler chapter to name Draco's pet form. I still might change it. I was originally going to be something like Knight or King, but I just loved the idea of Harry calling Draco Prince.

Umm. Thanks for reading. I really wouldn't have written more of the series if the first book hadn't done so well, so I really have to thank all of you for reading. I try to make it enjoyable for both me and you because if an author doesn't love their work then they'll never love the story or the characters.

This is getting long and ranty. So I'll leave it off here.

And as Always.

Ciao~
