Chapter Six

Sneaking Draco out of the house, especially when everyone was on guard was surprisingly easier than either thought. James seemed to know the plan, at least to some extent, because he kept giving Harry knowing looks. They had snuck Draco in a bag with an enlarging charm, the ones you can fit tiny houses in, so he could be comfortable. Harry had bought it without the knowledge of anyone with him, when he went to get his school books.

There had been posters out for Draco. There even was an article about how Draco was coming after Harry posted on every store. It made Harry furious, but also laugh. Mostly because Remus had to be escorted out of the book store. That was funny. Especially since the person who said the rude comment about Draco now had bunny ears, a cotton tail, and en urge to eat roughage.

Harry had asked his dad to put a charm on the bag so that no one could see it or smell it but it. The latter part had gotten him a look, but James didn't ask questions. He also got a smirk when he asked that Draco be able to see and smell the bag, but no one else.

Now they were on the train to Hogwarts. They had gotten their early so that Harry wouldn't be bothered before it was too late, and hopefully it would stay that way. Prince was in his lap, purring — was he supposed to purr? — in Harry's lap as he pet him.

Draco has taken to the name like a flame to the kitchen fire, he would demand to be called that even when he wasn't in his animagus form. It was adorable, so Harry indulged him. It was calm and quiet and Harry loved it. He would have liked it if it had stayed that way, but no.

The compartment door opened loudly making both Harry and Prince wince. The latter had curled up into himself, having almost been asleep, and started whimpering.

"There you are Harry, we've been looking for you!" Hermione exclaimed loudly. She didn't seem to see the animal in Harry's lap or she didn't care because her volume caused him to whimper more.

"Hermione keep it down!" Harry shushed. Trying to calm down Draco.

Hermione finally looked down and caught sight of the animal.

"Awe!" She cooed bending down to touch it. Draco lifted his head and sniffed her hand like an animal would before turning away in a huff. He didn't want her petting him better to make that sure now. Hermione seemed disappointed but didn't push the animal.

She took a seat across from Harry while Ron took the seat next to him. Ron gave the Vulpus Luppes a glance but didn't say anything. Lately Ron seemed to be more quiet and just let Hermione do what she wants. He didn't taunt Draco or anything he just seemed there. Harry thought he was more approachable.

Draco must have thought so to because he jumped off Harry's lap and onto Ron's head. He gave the red head a pat with his paw before hoping onto the over head with the bags and chest.

Harry smiled, it seemed like Draco was getting his nap whether Hermione liked it or not.

"Okay, why were you looking for me?" Harry asked turning back to Hermione. Ginny didn't seem to be with them, which was strange but not unwelcome.

"Because Harry, Draco Malfoy escaped and he's coming after you!" Hermione practically shouted as she shoved a Daily Prophet into Harry's face.

Harry coughed, spitting out the edges that had made its way into his mouth, and pushed the offending waste of brain cells away from his face.

"Draco Black." Harry stressed the Black portion. People just seemed to forget Draco's actual last name. "And yes. He did escape, but why would he be after me. I didn't do anything to him. You forget he was my best friend."

"Well Peter Pettigrew-" and Harry wasn't going to let her go far with that.

"Peter," he growled "was tortured beyond comprehension. He went mad, you can't fault him for giving up information in that state." Hermione looked like she wanted to say something but one look from Ron had her quieted. They should know by now what was a sore subject for Harry and what wasn't.

The train ride from there was quiet. Then the train stopped.

Draco perked his head up from behind Harry's bag. He had shrunk enough to fit behind it, not wanting to get back in just yet. The air had suddenly shifted and he knew that atmosphere. It was the Sam wine he was fucking running from.

He let a little growl escape him before he peaked over to check on Harry. He was about to jump down when a skeletal like hand appeared in the window to the compartment and he thought against it.

With a hint of regret Draco jumped into Harry's bag. Hopefully, they would leave once his presence was gone.

It was getting colder. Then suddenly the door to his compartment was opening, and a woman was screaming.

Harry didn't realize he had passed out until someone was shaking him awake. He opened his eyes to see Remus standing above him with a kind smile.

Harry smiled back but mentally cringed. He did know why Remus was here, this was soo bad. If Remus even saw Draco even in animagus form he would be sent home. Then Draco would have to hide out in the forbidden forest be Claude there's no way he's going to listen to Remus because he's stubborn and Sirius and Regulus got to him too soon and too often.

"Harry," Remus shook Harry out of his thoughts. Harry looked down to see a piece of chocolate being offered to him, and he gladly took it. Right, dementor attack, Draco was fine for now.

"Thanks." Harry mumbled taking the chocolate. He bit into it, not really taking in anything else. Draco knew to hide right? Panicking Harry jumped up and spun around the compartment. He didn't really want Remus to know what he was looking for, but he calmed down when he noticed that Draco wasn't visible.

"Wait. Why are they?" Harry trailed off looking at Remus. Remus seemed to realize what the boy was asking and his face hardened slightly.

"I don't know. They should know that Draco is not stupid enough to be near the train. I'm going to speak with the conductor." Wait this train had a conductor?

Remus left and the three slumped back into their chairs. Harry groaned and rubbed a hand over his face, this was a mess.

"Now do you believe us that he's after you?" Hermione asked her voice full of 'know it all' which isn't a real thing, but Harry was trying to get his brain back in order, cut him some slack.

"Hermione. Not. Now!" He groaned again slumping further into his chair. It was going to be a long ride.

"All I'm saying is that those dementors wouldn't be here unless he was on the train. And he would only be on the train to come after you. I always knew he was a bad seed." Cut that with the sharpest sword you can find. It was going to be a long year.

Hello peoples. Chapter six is up and I'm feeling good about this book. Hope you enjoy. I wasn't originally going to have Remus has the DADA teacher, it was going to be James, but I thought about it and said "gotta leave some things from cannon," So he's here.

As always
