There is a semi important an at the end of this chapter so please stick through and read it. Also. Don't you think that cat is adorable.
——————Harry had scouted out the Great Hall with Draco tucked securely into his bag to see if he could spot Remus. When he didn't see the other man a breath of relief escaped him and he walked over to the Gryffindor table.
He took a seat next to Ron at the edge of the table and across from Hermione, who luckily had her head in a book. He let Draco or rather Prince out of his bag and set him in his lap. Ron glanced over when Harry started feeding his new familiar but otherwise didn't say anything.
All in all is was a very quiet breakfast. Ginny has tried to pet Draco and almost got bitten, but that seemed to be the only mishap. Whatever book Hermione was reading must have been interesting enough that she didn't hear the cooing over Draco's cute little form, so for that Harry was glad.
It was when they were on their way to potions that Hermione finally realized Harry had his familiar out, now riding on his shoulder.
"Harry," she sighed staring at the thing. She had seriously hoped that he would keep the creature in his room. No matter how cute it was, she had gotten the feeling that it wanted her dead.
"What Hermione?" Harry asked trying to seem oblivious. Maybe if he acted cute then she won't berate him. No such luck though, this he knew, but he could dream.
"Why are you bringing that thing with us?" Hermione asked. She was using the tone that was supposed to make you feel as if you were doing something wrong, when you obviously weren't. Now this would work if it was anyone other than Harry, or if he actually liked Hermione.
"Because he was getting restless cooped up in my room." Harry answered reaching up to pet Draco. Draco ribbed his head into the palm of Harry's hand. Yes, this was nice.
"Harry were on our way to potions. What if he knocks something over?!" Hermione exclaimed.
"He won't."
"How do you know that?!" It took Hermione a second to realize that it was Ron that answered and not Harry. When she did both her and Harry turned to Ron who had been living blissfully in the background of their argument.
"What? Ron? Oh and how do you know that?" Ron just stared at her with a raised eyebrow. He then shrugged and proceeded to take Draco off Harry's shoulder. The Vulpes Lupes didn't fight the movement and when tons started scraping behind his ears, he melted.
"Because Prince is a good boy, and he seems smart enough that he wouldn't try to knock something over. Besides," Ron looked up from the fluffy animal in his arms with and smirk "you really can't say no to such a cute face, if he was practically begging to get out of a stuffy room I'd have let him. You'd have to be heartless to say no to him."
Hermione flinched at the heartless comment and the trio fell into silence. Harry and Ron triumphant in a victory, because for the rest of the walk Hermione didn't try to scold them for brining Prince. She even tried to pet him every once in a while when they got to the classroom.
Draco, who wasn't as heartless as Hermione was to him, allowed it only once.
———————-Snaps was late, and that was a bit unsettling. Both boys had their eyes trained on the door. Waiting for him to enter and every minute that ticked by made them feel even more nervous. Something was up, he was never this late.
The rest of the class had taken to talking amongst themselves thinking that they had a free day, or that their prayers had been answered and Snape fell down the moving staircases.
Harry was currently petting Draco, who was sitting in his lap, trying to calm the other. It wasn't really working because Harry himself wasn't calm. He didn't like this. He didn't like this at all.
When the door opened however, it wasn't Snape that walked through.
"Good Morning Class, sorry I'm late. I wasn't really informed that I had to take over Severus' class until five minutes ag-"
Remus Lupin stood at the opening of the door. He stared horrified at the animal sitting in Harry's lap.
Draco was too horrified but for different reasons. He hated disappointing Remus and he had a feeling that he had done just that. Whimpering Draco fried to make himself as small as possible.
"Right. Well let's continue. Can someone tell me where Snape left you off?" Remus walked passed them without even a second glance. Hermione took this opportunity to try to show the new professor her knowledge, her hand waiving in the air. Remus called on Zambini.
————————-So kind of cliffhanger. Kind of not. I don't really think this is a good place to end things but this AN is kind of important.
So, I'm going to start making a brand for myself if that's what you can call it. And because of that decision, I have decided to first start writing stories that aren't FanFiction. I will continue this series because it's fun to take JK's precious work and mess it up. I love the universe, just not necessarily how it was told. So I will be writing stories that I make up. My first story is going to be one shot prequels that I already have written just so I can get a feel of if you like the character or not.
Two, I have opened up a store that sells t-shirts. You know that long of thing. To go along with the new stories I will be drawing the characters to go on the shirts so think of it as a Merch shop. There are already random designs up on it, and it was launched today. That kitty is one of the designs.
This bear is another one. You don't have to get anything I'm just saying that as you know. A warning kind of. I can give people the link if they're interested I just don't want to feel like I'm forcing it upon people.
Third, I have already pushed this AN far longer than I should have and will thus end the chapter here. Umm, thanks for reading it really means a lot to me that people actually read this stuff, because I do want to become a writer, and this boosts my confidence.
Anyways I'll get out of you hair. And as always.
Ciao~
