Chapter 1: Budding

"No way, Jin, you applied for U.A.?!" Maran exclaimed as they walked out of the school grounds, and Jinke shrugged, a little shy about it.

"Well, yeah... I need to become a hero so I can make mom all better, y'know?" Jinke mumbled, and Hanazono beside him tilted his head back, striking a dramatic pose and stopping in his tracks.

"Oh, the pride you would bring your family if you got into the prestigious U.A. High!" he cried, his long, strawberry blond hair swishing in the wind. "I would be honored if I were to be accepted into the school!"

The other boy, whose head was attached to the same body Maran's was, raised his eyebrows. The three of them stopped to take in their skinny friend's theatrics. "Wait, Hana, you've applied too?" Hana flashed the conjoined twins that beautiful, feminine grin.

"Why yes, of course I have, boys. I'm a hero to all my dear sisters, so what choice do I have but to try to become a true hero at the best school out there?" he retorted and placed his hand over his heart. He began walking again with the other boys in tow.

"Weeeeeell, not the best school out there-" Jinke proclaimed, "-but it is one of the best, and the one we all wanna go to, right?" He swept his ocean blue eyes across his three friends.

A mischievous grin crept across Maran's dark lips, and he turned to his shockingly pale brother. "Why don't we apply too, Tai?"

Taio raised an eyebrow questioningly. "Really? Us as heroes? We can't agree on what to eat for breakfast any morning or when to roll out of bed, no way can we make it as heroes."

Jinke flashed Taio a scolding look. "Tai, you were personally told by a Pro that you guys could make a great hero together. That's saying something."

The cogs could be seen running in Taio's mind momentarily, and Maran spoke up for him. "Alright, we'll apply tonight!" he exclaimed and Taio nodded in agreement.

"The entrance exam takes place not long after we graduate, right?" the pale brother asked. Both Hana and Jinke nodded.

"We get a while to prepare before it comes around, and it has both a written and practical component," Jinke explained and looked pensive for a moment. It sucks that what the practical entails is all confidential though...

"Hey, with my brains and your brawn, we should ace the exam, right Maran?" Taio asked his darker-skinned twin. A look of confusion crossed his face, before it exploded in fury.

"Wait, are you saying I'm dumb, Law Boy?!" Maran growled and Tai laughed loudly, swishing his messy golden hair as he shook his head and looked away. Hana swung his arms around the twins' shoulders and stuck his head between them, laughing along with Tai.

Jinke smiled at his friends, letting out a little laugh himself. Welp, these are my friends.

Taio and Maran Sagaku, conjoined twins who butt heads over many things. Their Quirk is Balance, divided between the two of them. Taio can create order in anything by repairing them or balancing them, while Maran can destroy and break things to cause chaos. The only issue with this power is that both brothers need to agree on the proposed uses for their Quirks.

Hanazono Mesagamoto, a very feminine and dramatic guy who was brought up surrounded by six sisters and his mother. His Quirk, Flora, is fitting; he can manipulate flowers and other plantlife, as well as create it from his own body, and use them defensively or offensively, or just to create art. The most unique part of his Quirk is his ability to rapidly grow plantlife and mutate it into unique forms. He can turn a blade of grass into an exploding cactus, or the vines hanging from a tree into a series of snapping Venus flytraps.
