Song: Rapture - Kompany

This was it; the day of the U.A. Entrance exam. The written exam had already passed, and Jinke felt he'd done alright about it. A shadow of doubt crawled across his mind, though. After leaving the exam building, he hadn't heard a peep from Maran, Taio or Hana, but was delighted to see some well wishes from Maki in a message. Maybe the boys were all busy heading to the auditorium to prepare for the practical?

Jinke had spent so long training his Quirk out the back of his house. He practised various kinds of kicks, all with his blue flames cloaking his legs as he lashed out in a violent whirlwind. He intermittently threw his cold fire against the back fence, lowering the temperature marginally so they wouldn't deal any permanent damage. He wasn't sure what to expect in the practical, but he knew he'd have to fight.

He headed into the large building where the description of the practical would be held. It was a giant, dark auditorium, with a brightly lit stage down the bottom of the flights of seats. It gave off the same exhilirating aura of a rock concert, and was filled with almost the same level of noise as students from various schools chatted and tried to speak over each other, achieving auditory dominance over their peers.

Jinke took a seat in a row that appeared empty. That was, until a voice spoke up.

"U-uhm... excuse me?" a girl whispered from beside him, and he looked to his right, before peering down. There was a very, very short girl there, probably the smallest junior high graduate he'd ever seen, who had snow white hair tied in two ponytails. She seemed nervous.

"S-sorry, were you waiting for someone?" Jinke asked and began to stand up. He was about to head further down the aisle before the girl shook her head violently.

"N-no! Not at all! You just..." she peered down at where Jinke had just sat. "... you squashed my snowman..." It was then that Jinke realised the seat of his pants were slightly damp, and he scooted into the aisle. Surely enough, there was a big, white puddle on the chair.

"Oh shit, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to- I didn't know-"

"I-it's alright, Shiro's okay," the little girl squeaked, just as the puddle seemed to just poof back into a small snowman, which walked up along her outstretched arm and onto her shoulder. The girl patted the seat to beckon Jinke to sit down again.

"T-thanks... sorry about squishing your snowman," Jinke apologised again, rubbing the back of his neck.

"N-no problem. He says he forgives you." Jinke snapped his head towards the ivory duo.

"It can talk?" he asked suddenly, and the girl giggled.

"I made him with my Quirk, I know how what he's trying to say," she clarified, and Jinke blinked. "My name's Aoyuki Najaiki, but please just call me Yuki." Jinke swallowed, still confused, before shaking his head.

"Jinke Netsudai, but call me Jin. Your Quirk... what is it?" he asked and tilted his head. Instead of explaining, Yuki chose to show him. Lifting one hand up, small fractals of ice lifted from her palm and swirled around in a dome over her hand, falling into a ball of snow against her skin - with a perfect indentation of the U.A. High logo on it. "It's snow. Simple really, but I like it."

"That's so cool!" Jinke exclaimed, before receiving a harsh 'Shaddup down there!' from someone further up.

"I-it's nothing special really... what's yours, Jin?" the girl asked, but before he could reply, a voice roared from down the bottom of the theatre.

"Quiet!" a man called out across the auditorium, and all noise immediately halted. Not screeching like a train throwing on the brakes, but a bullet striking an impenetrable target. Everyone's attention was on the hulking beast of a man standing on the lit stage. And everyone knew who he was.

Huntsman. A very recent Pro Hero who took not only Japan but the whole world by storm. The reason was that he was the world's first entirely Quirkless Pro Hero. He was a prodigy of U.A. High, having started there the year after Deku had finished his first year. He absolutely destroyed the practical exam with his immense natural strength and ploughed through his school years, coming out as a proven Quirkless Pro Hero. While Quirkless students are still a rarity, more of them have been applying for hero schools, but sadly none other than Huntsman have succeeded.

"Listen up kiddos. Today you prove your worth as heroes, and the big boys get to decide whether you're worth their time," Huntsman bellowed, his arms folded over his muscled chest. "Unless you scored insanely high in the written exam, consider this test your final chance at getting into U.A.."

The room was entrapped in heavy, quivering shackles. It bit at the skin of every student present, instilling an unexpected fear in them all.

"Now, for  the explanation." A giant screen behind Hunstman lit up, displaying a cubic view of a city landscape, surrounded by four silhouettes. "When you all enter the battle center, you will have ten minutes to immobilise, deactivate or destroy the villain bots roaming the city. You may use your Quirks as much as you like and in any way you see fit. Attacking other students is a no go.

"Each villain bot is worth a number of points. The smallest is worth one point, and the largest is worth three points. These points will decide whether you get into U.A. or not." The room sat in silence. Huntsman chuckled loudly. "Interesting, usually someone questions the fourth bot on the screen. Anyway. There are also arena traps around the battle centers. These are bigger and badder than the rest of the villain bots, and are not meant to be fought. If you'd like to be suicidal, be my guest, but they won't net you any points at all. Just avoid them, for your sake."

The room began to slowly creep louder and louder with the sound of student chatter. "Silence!" he called out again, and the murmuring vanished once again. "I still have one more thing to tell you all. There are seven battle centers, and on the paper you were given, you will have your designated battle center. Please head to the change rooms and get changed into your exam clothes, then go to your battle center." The room sat in nervous silence as they awaited further direction from the Pro Hero. "You're all dismissed, get outta here."

With that, the sounds of cluttering and chattering burst around the huge room as students hurried to escape. "J-Jin, what battle center did you get?" Yuki squeaked, and Jinke snapped his attention to her. He'd almost forgotten she was there.

"I got C, you?" Yuki happily flashed him her sheet of paper, which showed a 'C' on it as well. "Oh nice, guess we'll be there together. Guess I'll catch you in there then, hey?" The small girl nodded without a word, and the two of them hurried off with the rest of the wave of students to go and get changed.

This is it, Jinke thought, the moment I've been waiting for.
