Song: Heroes - Zayde Wølf

Jinke stood before the enormous concrete wall, fitted with just as sizeable wooden doors. A horde of eager students stood before them, all stretching and exercising their muscles. Some even showed off their Quirks as 'practise', but Jinke felt they were doing it just for the spotlight. He scanned the area and carefully scrutinised each individual. It appears Hana and the twins had been separated into other battle centers, maybe to split up students from the same junior high school. Even so, even Yuki wasn't there yet. He tugged at the sleeve of his navy blue jacket.

"Ne- J-Jin!" a voice called across the tarmac and Jinke spun to meet the person who'd called his name. Yuki, red in the face from rushing to get there, was jogging in his direction.

"Yuki, you made it! I thought you'd gotten lost or something," he jested and chuckled softly. Yuki doubled over and panted, holding up a finger to tell him to wait for her to recover. Once she'd finally caught her breath, she stood up straight and flicked both her white ponytails over her shoulders. She was wearing an egg-yellow sweater that exposed her shoulders and the straps of her blue tank top underneath. Her legs were covered in pitch black leggings, ending in a pair of fluffy white boots.

"I accidentally left my bag at my seat when I headed down to the changerooms, so I had to rush back and get it and then get changed and by that time everyone was already gone so I was like 'where do I go now' and..." she realised she was motoring on and stopped herself. "You get the idea."

Jinke raised an eyebrow as he peered at her shoulder. "No snowman?" he asked and she shook her head.

"I don't want Shiro to get hurt in there. I mean, he doesn't actually get hurt but you get the idea," she muttered and rubbed the back of her neck.

"I getcha. You ready for this?"

"... honest or best answer?" Yuki squeaked.

"Honest."

"Not at all, but let's do our best!" she responded shakily, raising a tentative fist into the air in an attempt to bolster her morale. It didn't appear to work at all.

"Good luck and don't die," a voice bellowed over a loudspeaker, and the wooden doors began to open wide, screeching loudly. All the students were frozen in place. "What are you kids waiting for? Real fights don't have countdowns, get in there!"

With panicked screams and furious battle cries, the wave of applicants rushed into the compound, afraid of missing out on crucial points. Yuki was hot on Jinke's heels as they too barged into the concrete cube, and it was only a matter of seconds before the mechanical whirring of machinery and the squealing of wheels whipped around the corner of a building.

It was quite large, with a diamond-shaped head, four legs and what appeared to be a scorpion-like tail of some form. It seemed easy enough for Jinke to take out - if someone else wasn't already on it. A girl with dragon-like horns and wings soared overhead and descended like a dropped stone, ripping sharp claws into the neck of the robot and ripping the head off, tossing it aside.

And she wasn't the only one; everyone was busy racking up points with bursts of flame, beams of light and crushing appendages. Jinke had to catch up. He chose to rush off in a direction no one seemed to be going, and the rapid tapping of small feet followed behind him.
