Amnesia

Chapter 12

When Harvey wakes up, Donna isn't there. For a moment, he asks himself if it all just had been another dream, when she comes in with two cups of coffee in her hand.

„Good morning." he says and gives her quick kiss.

„Morning." she whispers, sipping her coffee, „It really was worth the wait."

He smiles.

„Yes, but we should have done it earlier anyway." he answers, now laughing at all the worries and anxieties that had always kept him from meeting her halfway.

Then their lips meet for another kiss. He deepens the kiss and begins to undress her. She is only wearing one of his t-shirt's (the first thing she had found this morning), so it isn't pretty much work.

„We only have two hours, before we have to leave for Rachels' and Mikes' brunch." Donna says between kisses.

„We can do a lot in two hours." he replies, playfully slipping out of his boxershorts.

Two and a half hours later, they are on their way to Mike and Rachel's place. They agreed to keep their new relationship to themselves, because this day should be about Mike and Rachel and not about them.

„Hey Rach, hi Mike." Donna says as she greets her friends at the door.

Harvey would come 5 minutes later, so they wouldn't catch their attention.

„Hey Donna! It's so great to see you." Rachel exclaims, taking her friend in for a long hug.

„Come in." Mike says and closes the door behind her.

„How are you? You are still having morning sickness?" Donna asks her friend, as they lead her to a table with a lot of food on it.

Louis and Sheila are already there.

„Hey Donna." Louis says and gives her a smile before he turns back to Sheila.

„Yes, but it'll be over soon." Rachel explains.

„That's good!" Donna answers and sits down at one of the chairs.

*Knock Knock*

Donna immediately knows that it's Harvey.

„Hey Harvey." she hears Mike saying.

„Hey puppy." Harvey greets his friend and laughs at the name. Donna had once used it and since then he said it, too. Still smiling, he enters the living room, greeting Rachel and the others.

„Rach..can we help you with anything?" Donna asks then.

„Yes, actually, could you please get hold of the tablets with the cheese from the kitchen..?" Rachel replies.

„Yeah sure." Donna answers and they stand up and walk over to the kitchen.

„You look beautiful by the way." Harvey whispers in her ear, as soon as they are out of earshot.

„Thanks. You look quite handsome yourself." she replies and gives him a quick kiss before she leaves with the tablet into the living room.

Soon after, Jessica and Jeff arrive and they start eating.

„So, since we are all together, you all are invited to our wedding in May. You'll get an invitation, too." Jeff tells them.

He looks very happy. And so does Jessica.

„Ahh congrats! That sounds really good." Rachel and Donna exclaim happily.

„Ha! I just thought of the perfect gift for you two." Harvey says, laughing.

„Really? Since when do you buy gifts for anybody else then yourself?" Donna replies.

„Hey?! That's not fair. I always bought gifts for you." he answers, putting on a hurt expression.

„You mean I could pick out something and you bought it with your credit card?" she says, teasing him even more.

The others just watch their little interaction. They all notice that something is different and new between their friends, but since the two haven't looked so happy in months, they leave them alone for now.

They spent the rest of the afternoon laughing and exchanging stories about each other. When the clock turns seven, Sheila and Rachel are the only ones still sober.

„Why is everyone so happy today anyways? I thought this means goodbye?" Louis says, still laughing from the last story about Harvey.

„You and Sheila have an excuse and so do Jeff and I and Rachel and Mike. And Donna. But Harvey. What's your excuse huh?" Jessica shouts after Harvey.

„Can't a man just be happy?" he says, trying to defend himself.

„Sure, but this is different." Mike says, concurring with Jessica.

„Yeah, right? Haven't seen him this happy in years." Jessica replies, taking a closer look on her longtime friend.

„And you Donna? No teasing joke about it? Huh? Something is definitely going on here." Mike shouts, trying to connect the dots.

Harvey looks at Donna and she nods. They intertwine hands and hold them up for everyone to see.

„I told you guys!" Mike screams, jumps on the table and starts dancing.

„And I am the one with issues and a therapist here? Really?" Harvey exclaims.

„OMG! Donna..ahh I am so happy for both of you!" Rachel says and walks over to give her best friend a hug.

„Thanks." Donna answers.

„Seriously guys, that's great news." Jessica says and Jeff, Louis and Sheila agree.

A few hours later, Harvey and Donna leave. Together this time. They barely make it to his apartment without ripping each other's clothes off.
