Epilog

*Christmas Eve: one year later*

„Hey you guys, come in." Donna says, as she greets her friends at the door.

It's christmas eve and Harvey and Donna decided to invite Rachel, Mike and their little babyboy over.

„Hey Mike." Harvey says as he walks over to greet his friends.

„Hey Harvey." Mike replies, hugging his former boss and best friend.

„How are you holding up with Matty?" Harvey asks.

„We're good, really good. Sure, it's not easy at times, but it's an fantastic experience." Mike explains to him.

Harvey nods. He can imagine Mike very good as a father.

„Don..could you take Matt for a second, I need to-" Rachel says, turning to Donna.

„Uh yeah sure." Donna answers and Rachel hands the baby over to her.

„Hey Matt..hmm do you remember me? I am aunt Donna." Donna says to the little boy, who's about a half a year old now.

Matt just smiles at her.

„He's so cute, you guys really did a good job here." Donna exclaims to Mike and Rachel.

„Haha, yeah I think so, too." Mike answers and high-fives with Rachel.

After Rachel parked the baby carriage, she has time to look around the apartment. A lot has changed since the last time she has been here. There are a lot more personal things, like photos standing and laying around, so it doesn't look like an showroom of a furniture store anymore. It's beautiful, in her opinion.
Just like this christmas evening. It's snowing outside and it's already dark by now, but everywhere are lights on. It's a magical view.

They all sit down on the couch and the armchairs, letting Matt play a little on the floor.

„So, Harvey, Donna, how have you two been? How is the firm going?" Mike asks.

„The firm's doing great. We really got back on our feet, I think we are even doing better now than we did before." Harvey tells his former assistant.

„We're just a really good team." Donna says quietly and Harvey nods in agreement.

„That's so true." he replies, smiling at his girlfriend.

„And how is life in Seattle, how are the new jobs?" Donna asks then.

„It's great. Like I said before, we are pretty busy, but it's really great." Mike answers with an honest smile.

„By the way, guys, this place looks absolutely fantastic." Rachel says to Donna.

„See? Other people think it looks great." Donna says, looking at Harvey.

Harvey just rolls his eyes, smiling.

„And thank you Rach." Donna answers.

„I'll go fetch the dishes and the wine. We can eat in 5 minutes at the table in the dining room." Harvey says, standing up.

„I'll go help you." Mike offers and stands up too.

„Sooo Don..how are things with you and Harvey?" Rachel asks, as soon as the boys are out of earshot.

„You've been waiting to ask me this the whole time, right?" Donna says, instead of answering the question.

Rachel dismisses it with a shrug.

„We are good." Donna murmurs.

Something is up with her friend, but before she can ask what's going on, Harvey interrupts her.

They eat and have a great time together.

„I am so excited to see all your faces when you see my gifts!" Mike exclaims.

„Ahahh..I bet you I can guess what your presents are." Harvey says.

Harvey guesses the whole evening, but Mike doesn't even say no' or ‚yes'.

At some point, Rachel brings Matt to bed and they start watching a film. When the film ends, Mike and Rachel excuse themselves to go to bed, because they are tired after the long flight/day they had.

While Harvey goes in the kitchen to bring some wine, Donna goes out on the balcony. He then joins her on the balcony.

„You must be freezing." Harvey says and lays his jacket around her.

„It's so beautiful out here. All the lights..and the snow." she whispers, amazed by the beauty of nature and christmas eve.

Harvey nods.

„Here. Let's drink to us." he says with a smile.

„I can't." she answers quietly.

„What..why?" he asks confused and a little worried.

„Harvey..I..I am pregnant." she replies calmly.

Harvey moves the glasses out of the way and takes Donnas hands into his.

„Donna..I don't know what to say. I mean we never talked about it but-"

„If you don't want it, I understand." she whispers, letting go of his hands.

„What? No, Donna, this is amazing!" Harvey exclaims.

„You think so?" Donna asks, a smile growing on her face.

„Yes. This makes me happier than you would ever believe." he says, softly stroking her cheeks with his hands.

„Does that mean that you want it?" she asks him.

„Yes. Yes, of course. But only if you do, too." he answers, smiling.

She nods. She was a little afraid, when she found out. Not sure how Harvey was going to react, since they have never talked about it. But it's still something she has always wanted.

„I do."

Their lips meet for a sweet kiss. His hands find their way to her stomach and rest there, carefully stroking it. Somewhere they can hear a christmas song playing and they can see some fireworks. And lights, everywhere. Harvey doesn't care about his other presents anymore, since he just received the best one he could have ever wished for.
