On the day of the show Knock noticed that Kong was restless and edgy. His face was unreadable and his mind was elsewhere even in class which never happened before. He kept glancing at his watch every few minutes and tapping the table impatiently.
As soon as the lecturer left the class he jumps and dragged Knock out of the class with him. Knock had to run after him as he headed towards the car park.
"What's the hurry, Kong?" Knock sat next to him breathlessly as he speeds the car towards their dorm.
"Er... I need to go to the bathroom." Kong lied through his teeth. Knock squint his eyes at him snickering. He had never seen Kong acting like this and they practically live together for three years since their freshmen year. It boggled his mind but he suspected it had something to do with Oon.
Thinking back, since the day he bumped into Oon, Kong had been asking Knock this and that about Oon. Knock had not noticed it before today but most definitely now, Kong is having a crush on Oon. Oh hell! This is not good. Knock sigh deeply. Korn was watching Knock intently occasionally glancing at Kong, his eyebrows furrowing.
They arrived at the City Hall actually one hour before the show thanks to Kong's impatience. Knock shook his head but stayed quiet. He better keeps his mind to himself for now. Arthit called when they arrived and told them that they could see him before the performance at his dressing room. Kong's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree when he heard about it. He stopped by a florist at the entrance and bought a huge bouquet. Knock & Korn could only shake their heads.
Knock rapped on the dressing room door and he heard Arthit's voice giving permission for entry. He opened the door and walked inside along with Kong & Korn. Arthit stood at the dressing table, his costume was only consisting of tight black leotard and a golden sash around his waist. The face that looks at them now is so surreal that Kong actually gasp.
Arthit's make up made him look like a fallen angel, an innocent that had been tainted. Kong felt his blood rush through his vein and pooled at his groins. He breathed in raggedly trying to control his raging emotions. He had never before seen such beauty in his life. Arthit came forward and gave his hand to Kong. Kong looked at his open palm and hurriedly hand the bouquet.
"You really don't have to do this, you know but thanks anyway," Arthit said with a half smile. He hugged Knock thanking him for coming. "Didn't know you're into this kind of stuff P' but thanks anyway for coming."
"Won't miss it for the world, Oon," Kong said looking into the big dark eyes of Arthit who returned the look with a gentle smile. Knock glance at Arthit than Kong with a foreboding feeling in the pit of his stomach.
He loved both of these men unconditionally but knowing Arthit a lot more than Kong, he couldn't help feeling apprehensive. In all this happening Korn never let his eyes off Knock, watching intently at all the emotion that flashed through his eyes, what he saw made him grim.
Kong, Korn, and Knock took their seats and waited for the performance. When the curtain was lifted, Kong sat unmovingly and eyes never leaving the stage as he absorbs every movement and sounds coming from the stage.
Arthit's entrance on to the stage was so astounding that he gasped. Knock happened to glance at Kong at the moment and felt his heart dropped. Kong was totally in love with Arthit, it's all over his face right now as he stared unblinking at the dancer, moving gracefully on the stage. Knock sighed deeply, seriously worried now about both his beloved friends. Arthit being as straight as an arrow is one thing, but the real problem is not about emotions here, it more than that.
*************
After the performance, Arthit had called Knock and asked him to wait for him, much to Knock's surprise. As it turned out Arthit slipped out of his after performance party and hitch a ride to run away from the boring party. Kong was ecstatic volunteering to drive and making Arthit sit next to him.
