IT'S OK IF IT'S YOU

TEARS FROM A JOKER

There were tears in his eyes! Everyone except Phana was shocked. Tears from Bright? Bright was in pain? None of them knew this? Kong swallowed hard. He felt like crap for not noticing this from someone he had called a friend. Bright fidgeted in his seat feeling uncomfortable knowing all of his friend's eyes on him.

"Do we have to do it here, Forth?" Bright asked in a meek voice. None of the team even blinked and Prem was pale. His lips were compressed.

"Is that idiot still unaware, baby?" Forth asked in a frustrated voice and Bright lowered his eyes. Forth growled obviously angry at whoever it was.

"It doesn't matter anymore, Forth." Bright soft voice said and Forth gasped.

"WHAT? Really? You waited 3 years for him...no, you saved yourself for him." Forth left his seat and squatted in front of Bright, his face unreadable as he placed his hands gingerly on Bright's. Everyone was watching this drama with bated breath. They saw how gently and expectantly Forth wrapped his fingers around Bright's and his eyes gazed deep into Bright's as if expecting Bright to recoil from his touch.

"It doesn't matter anymore." Bright's voice was so poignant that Kong who was watching Bright couldn't help to shot a quick glance at Prem who seemed to have turned to stone. His eyes were now empty and staring.

"Damn it, Bright it mattered to me! If that blind dumbass didn't see you for what you are than I say Thank God for that.... because now, I'm damn if I'm gonna let you go anymore. I gave that idiot 3 years of chance but no more. You belong to me, now. You hear me?" Forth burst angrily. He grabbed Bright's cheeks with both palms and drew him closer to him.

Bright didn't resist him; he nodded tears still flowing from his eyes. Forth didn't bother asking twice as he placed his lips gently on Bright's forehead and stamping his first mark on Bright.

"Kong, your wife is now under my protection, if anything out of ordinary happens you will be the first to find out. For now, I need to stake my claim on what's mine. I don't want to be rude or anything but Bright is your friend so I'm inclined to at least inform you. I'll be taking Bright with me but we'll be back.... later,' Forth said without even turning to face Kong.

"Bright, is that okay with you?" Kong asked Bright feeling rather unsure as he saw Prem's stony face blanched even more but made no move what so ever.

"Yes, Kong. Thanks for asking but I'm.... really okay with this." Bright answered looking at Kong with acquiescent eyes that Kong actually gulped. Kong felt at lost seeing this new Bright. Had he always been that way?

'But.. why in such a rush Bright?" Kong asked trying to give whoever was concerned in this weird situation a leeway of a chance to make a move.

"I'm staking my claim right now, on someone who reserved himself for someone else who didn't even know what he had. I'm not going to take a chance for that idiot to realize it now after 3 years of waiting, patiently. If he's blind and deaf to the treasures he was supposed to have and neglected it, I'm not going to stand and watch that treasure being thrown into the gutter." Forth snarled and grabbed Bright by the waist and hauled him over his shoulders. He got up and walked out of the door.

Bright didn't say a word but Kong saw him shot Prem a resigned look before he looked back at Kong and smiled gently. Everyone was watching as the door closed after them.

"Good luck, bro... You deserve that fantabulous guy he's so worth your wait.' Phana yelled and chuckled. Everyone glared at him and he raised his eyebrows.

"What!!??" he asked raising his arms up in mock surrender.

Forth put Bright down after reaching the stairs and grabbed his hands before running down the steps dragging Bright along all the way to his dorm building which was just on the opposite side. He raced towards his room and when they arrived at his door he looked into Bright eyes and felt his breath hitched. He groped for his keys and quickly opened his door pushing Bright inside first.
