I walked back to the room I share with Lance, I was scared. Could he actually die? I don't want him to die... he's my friend... even though we fight and argue a lot, I care about him. Ugh, I don't know what to do! "Goddamnit! I'm a fucking idiot!" I yelled at no one in particular, more like I yelled at the wall. Then I kicked it, and punched it.
I'm in a bad state of mind right now, I guess. Maybe I should call Lance...or Shiro... just maybe. I took out my phone from my back pocket and went through all of my contacts. "Who should I call..." I muttered over and over. "Ah, how about...YoU!" I tapped the name tag and pressed the phone up against my ear.
"Please, please, PLEASE pick up..." I complained. Then the line picked up.
???: What do you want, Keith?
"Ahh, well... I was wondering if you wanted to come over? Lance is away for the moment, and he might be away for a little while..."
???: Are you kidding me? Ugh, okay. Fine. I'll be over in five.
"Thanks so much! I'll see you in fi–"
*click*
The line cut off, "Did they seriously hangup on me? How rude..." I mumbled. I guess all I could do now is wait for them to get their small ass over here. I jumped backwards onto my bed, sprawling my arms wide apart. I closed my eyes picturing someone I never thought I would...
*bang, bang, bang*
I was immediately ripped out of the mental image and I jumped from the bed, running to the door to let in my teammate. "Welcome to my room Pi–"
"Why did you invite me here? You usually want to be alone all the time. Sometimes I wonder why they paired you and Lance to a room together. He's so loud and talkative..." Pidge noted, rudely cutting me off from what I was saying.
I didn't know the answer to that question, to be completely honest. "I guess having someone like Lance to share a room with made me kind of used to the noise. And having complete silence kills me... you know what I mean?" I tried to explain how I felt about the situation.
"If you're gay for Lance, you can tell me." Pidge tilted her head to the right slightly and I frowned, furrowing my brows, "What the hell? I'm not gay for that imbecile." I scoffed, the crossing my arms. A faint blush dusted my cheekbones. "Whatever you say. Anyways, what do you need then? You called me here..."
"I just wanted company. That's all. No Lance replacement. I just want a friends company." I tried to explain my reasoning for calling her here, without looking at her. I could probably guarantee that the blush was stronger and more prominent now. "Oh, okay. I have some board games, if you're interested."
Oh hell yes. This will get my mind off of him! "Of course! What games do you have?" I cleared off my desk, and pulled up an extra chair for Pidge to sit down in. "I have Scrabble, Battle Ship, Uno... Just the normal kinds of games, I guess."
"Let's play Uno. It's an easy win for me, I'll tell you that right now!" I attempted to brag, "You can brag once you actually win a round. I'm a boss at this game." Oh. So now we're fighting for bragging rights? It's so on!

We've played four games, and we're also tied. I've got two reds, a six and a nine. A few 'power' cards, a blue skip and a green reverse. This is the final game. Whoever wins this gets bragging rights. "You're going down, shortie," I smirked and winked, "You should just give up now."
"Oh really? I'll wipe the floor with you. Trust me, co-captin." Pidge smiled wide and placed down her card. A draw four colour wild, "I choose... green." Then I placed down my green reverse card, "Too bad...so sad. How's it feel to be losing? I really wonder..." I teased her.
She drew her four cards, mumbling and grumbling, "I place down a green nine. There." She slapped the card down on the table, making the legs wobble a little bit. I then placed down my red nine card, "Nope. Colour is now red! My lion and suit colour, mind you."
We went at each other until I had one card left, "Uno..." I muttered. The card was a blank. It could be or do anything. I will win this game. And I will deserve those bragging rights... I'll brag to him about everything! "I play a green skip, my dude. Now I play a red skip! Wow, I have so many skips! Now... a red eight." Pidge rambled on and on about how she only had two cards in her hand now.
Does she not see the one card in my hand? She's happy she only has two left, and here I am with one. Time to win this once and for all. "I play a blank card. I win. I HAVE NO CARDS LEFT, HAH!" I jumped up from the chair I was seated in and did a little jig right there in front of Pidge, "I'm the winner, I'm the winner! I get bragging rights~!"
"Why are you so happy to get bragging rights? Is there a certain someone you want to be able ti brag to?" Pidge questioned. I shook my head, "Nope. I'm just happy I won." I mentally nodded my head, "Yup. I hope he's impressed with me." I smiled and I could feel my face getting warmer.
