Third POV
"Haya ....??" He hardly uttered not believing what his eyes were seeing. It was like he was making sure it was Haya.
"Can I .... Come.... in" Haya hardly said as her swollen cheek were frozen in the cold winter.
"Haya....?" He again asked to confirm that she was really Haya because from the attire she didn't looked Haya and more over her bruised face.
Haya nodded to his answer. He quickly gave her way to enter. He had many questions but for now he couldn't ask her on the door.
She entered with a suitcase in her hand which he saw later.
He ushered her to sit on a seat closed to the heater in the hall having two single seated sofas and a three seater.
She quietly sat with her face down as close as possible to the heater to warm her frozen limbs and hands. Cold never bothered her because she never faced one. One of her favorite season but now she hated it.
Rubbing his hands Ashar sat on a far seat.
There was a silence which was broken by his question "Haya! Did something happened?"
He asked a obvious question.
Haya didn't say anything. Actually she didn't have anything to say. What should she say.
She was too ashamed to tell that she was slapped by her mother several times in a day and her own father threw her out. She was ashamed to tell that she was disowned by her own parents.
Getting no response from her side. He brushed his hair back with his hand and stood up from his place.
"Okay! I will get something to eat" saying this he went to kitchen. Before Haya could stop him he was already gone.
But by the time he came back she was fast asleep on the couch with her face showing her bruised side of face.
A band on eyebrow, bruised lips and red swollen cheek. He felt a sympathy for her and wondered what happened to her. But what could happen to her.
He placed the food on the table there and went to wake her up but before he can do that a cry made it's way through the hall, echoing stopping him in the way.
Was it a baby. Haya and a baby ....
Haya came out of her slumber, the first thing she noticed were his eyes which had many questions.
Quickly engulfing Noor in her arms to soothe her. She stood up from the sofa afraid that he might throw her out too. The question in his eyes made her afraid. She wanted to keep Noor save till she finds somewhere to stay.
"I will tell you ..... Please .... Please let me stay" She said hurriedly fearing of losing the only roof that she needed for now. Rocking Noor in her arms she calmed her down
Ashar eyes widen a little on her abrupt action. Looking into her weary eyes he didn't questioned her further. He felt sympathy for her. Moreover it was too late.
"Let me show you your room for now" He said calmly, silently wiping her all fears.
Sighing in relief she quietly walked behind him dragging her suitcase.
Opening the door of guest room he walked inside and turned on the heater.
Haya quietly sat on the upper end of the bed clutching Noor to her chest.
He was about to go. When Noor wailed again. She was hungry. Haya knew it.
"Can I use ..... the kitchen...?" Haya asked sensing her distress while looking at him with hopeful eyes.
