It was a few weeks after Hyde realized he loved her — like not just in a friend way, and not in a puppy-love, lustfilled love. They were up in Lucy's room while Kitty was out shopping and Eric and Red were at work. Lucy was reading the paper and doing the crossword while Hyde read his comic beside her.

"You're being weird," Lucy said nonchalantly without even looking up from her crossword.

Hyde scoffed, "Am not."

Lucy smirked up at him, "You so are, you're giving off a weird aura, knock it off it's distracting."

"So you read auras now?" He chuckled at the girl as she sat up.

The blonde nodded eagerly with a smile, "Yup, I read zodiacs and everything now too. I'm working on it for the school paper."

"Lucy those are so full of crap!" Hyde laughed.

Lucy rolled her eyes and moved to sit next to Hyde while flipping the paper to the astrology page. "Let's see then shall we?" Hyde held out his hands in an after you gesture. "Okay," Lucy flipped through the paper. "We'll do me first, March 18th so I'm a Pisces. It says I'm compassionate, artistic, intuitive and wise! Hmm, so far I'd say correct! Um, but that stuff isn't right, so we'll skip it."

"Nope! Let's see if the all-knowing stars are right!" Hyde insisted, snatching the paper. "Pisceans can also be fearful, overly trusting" he paused there and coughed violently, "Dick Thompson," which warranted a smack upside the head from Lucy before he continued, "they desire to escape reality, can play a victim or a martyr—damn Lucy, I don't know this all seems pretty true to me."

"Alright, alright, fine, let's just read my fortune for the week!" She snatched the paper right back and read, "You will soon have news of success—" she paused to squeal, "I'm sooo getting an A on this paper!" Her eyes glimpsed at the paper before she nodded, "Now you! November 28th, Sagittarius—oh you're so a Sagittarius."

"What the hell does that mean Lucy?" Hyde asked with a chuckle.

"Read for yourself," Lucy nodded, showing the paper to him as she rested her head on his shoulder to read along.

Hyde rolled his eyes before complying, "Sagittarians are independent, strongwilled, truthful, steadfast friend—Lucy this is bullshit," he scoffed pushing the paper away.

"Hmm, it also says you're witty, philosophical, and flirtatious..." Lucy trailed off smirking before looking up to see his scowl. "Oh come on! It's fun! You're kinda independent, the Ritz and ketchup was smart; if you consider being dumb and going to jail for Jackie a steadfast friend—then I guess; obviously philosophical with all your conspiracies. Maybe not truthful because you're not telling me why you're being weird—" she said quickly and under her breath.

"What was that?" Hyde asked in a challenge, raising an eyebrow, turned to look at the girl.

Lucy smiled, "Nothing."

Hyde leaned closer to her, "Well, what do you think about flirtatious?" his lips ghosting over her own.

Smirking, Lucy shrugged slightly, "Hmm, I'm not sure about that one."

"Oh?" Hyde asked before closing the gap and kissing her. But only feather-light kisses, causing Lucy to frown before pulling away with a pout while Hyde laughed.

"Not funny Steven! Oh, and would you look at that: teasing, god why am I even surprised!" Lucy taunted before continuing, "You're weekly fortune is that: a sudden realization will come your way." Hyde's face quickly fell as Lucy looked up at him with a teasing smile, "So any realizations Steven? Any new conspiracies?"

The boy shrugged and shook his head, "Told you LSD, those things are bullshit." Before leaning closer to her again and kissing her properly this time, partially because she looked beautiful, and no one was home and they had to make the most of alone time, and partially because he really needed her to stop prying, because even though he's not the most truthful, the stars were partially right because he knew he couldn't keep this realization a secret from her for too long.

"I don't think they're bullshit," Lucy mumbled against his lips as he pulled her into his lap. "I kinda hope they're not."

Hyde pulled away with a sigh, "Jesus Lucy, if you keep talking about it I'm going to stop."

Lucy rolled her eyes and dropped the newspaper in her hand before looking at it pointedly, "See, I dropped it!" And she leaned in to kiss him lightly on his jaw.

"It's fine, I know you probably just like that stuff because you like to escape reality," Hyde teased. Lucy frowned before moving to get up, she didn't make it very far before Hyde joked, "Oh no you don't," and grabbed her wrist, tackling her and tickling her as she fell onto her back, laughing wildly.

"Stop!" Lucy squealed, "I give, I give!" The two teens laid there looking at eachother, breathing heavily as they caught their breath, before reconnecting their lips.

The newspaper, laying forgotten beside them, left open to the fortune page where Pisces fully read: You will soon have news of success and love come your way.
