Part 3

Your pov

"Ezra?" I step away from the mans body on the ground. "Y/n!" Ezra opens his arms and I run to him. "Ez!" I hug him and he lifts me up off the ground. Ezra was around 6'5 so he basically towered over me since I was only 5'0. "Y/n I'm so glad you're ok! Mia is going to be so happy to see you!" He squeezes me even tighter. "Ezra you're hurting me." I lightly hit his back and he puts me down. He looks at me with his usual stoic face. "Finally get caught?" He glances back at Levi and back to me. "Yep." His eyes light up. "Where's Julia? I know you didn't leave without her!" I shake my head and look up at Ezra. "No I didn't. She's with that Hange lady." Ezra pats my shoulder. "Mind if I tag along with you two?" He asks looking at Levi. "Have at it." Levi walks in between us and we follow him. Ezra pushes my lightly into a wall after a few minutes of walking. "What was that for?" I ask glaring at him. "Just seeing if you're still as light as I remember." I scoff and cross my arms. "I haven't changed at all Ez." "You have though. There's just something off putting." Ezra puts his arm around my shoulder. "You just seem different. Did anything happen after we left?" I sigh and uncross my arms. "Not really. I'm still the same y/n Ez." "Oh so you've always been a bitch with no manners?" Levi says glancing over his shoulder. Ezra glares at him.

"I don't think that's the proper way to talk to y/n corporal." Ezra taps Levi's shoulder causing him to turn around. Levi looks up at Ezra and gives him a death glare. "That's not the proper way you talk to your corporal." I step in between the two of them and put my back against Ezras chest. "You're one to talk about having manners Levi! You yelled at Julia for looking out a window!" Ezra puts his hands on my shoulders. "He yelled at Julia?!" I turn around to face him. "Yeah!" I raise my arms in the air as I yell. "Levi she's eight! You can't yell at an eight year old!" Ezra steps in front of me and pokes Levi's chest. "No one yells at Julia!" Levi scoffs. "Whatever brats. Y/n your room in there." He points to a door and walks away angrily. I look at Ezra. "The nerve he has!"

Me and Ezra stayed in my room for a while talking and sharing memories. "It's dinner time." Ezra says looking at the clock on my wall. "They serve dinner?" He smiles a bit. "Three meals a day y/n." "Holy shit! Ezra! That's great! Julia will finally be able to get the food she needs to grow!" I get off my bed and grab Ezras hands and start jumping. "This is great!" He laughs lightly. "So will you y/n. Who knows maybe if you start eating regularly you'll grow a few inches!" I hit Ezras chest. "I'm not going to grow anymore you bitch!" Ezra continues to laugh at me. "Shorty!" He yells picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder. "Put me down!" "Never!" Ezra runs out of my room and into the mess hall. When he enters he sets me down. I catch my balance by holding onto a pillar. "You good?" I nod. "Y/n?" I spot Mia coming towards me. "Mia!" I hold out my arms and she hugs me. "It's so good to see you." "It's good to see you as well."

~time skip~

We had retired to our rooms about five hours ago. Julia had been placed in the room across from me. She was very excited to finally have her own room. I lay on my bed staring up at the ceiling. I can't sleep..as a matter of fact I haven't been able to sleep well in forever. The last decent sleep I had was so long ago that I can't even remember it. Would they care if I were to wonder around? I shrug and sit up. I look around for the pants I had on earlier today. Once I find them and put them on I open my door and slowly sneak out. Careful not to wake anyone up in the process. I wrap my arms around my body because it was a little cold I then walk aimlessly around. I find my way outside and sit on stone stairs. My head tilts upwards and looks at the thousands of beautiful stars in the sky. Soon I've laid my head completely back on the stair behind me. "Oi brat! What the hell are you doing?"

Levis pov

"Oi brat! What the hell are you doing?" I had been walking around HQ for the past thirty minutes considering I couldn't sleep. I lean against the doorway and wait for y/ns response. She turns around and greets me with a faint smile. "Looking at the stars. You should try it sometime. They're absolutely beautiful." I walk over to her and sit down beside her. "They're just stars. Haven't you seen them before?" Y/n shifts her gaze from the stars to me. "No. I've never had the chance to see them." Y/n leans back on her hands and tilts her head upwards again. The moonlight illuminates all of her features. Y/n has h/l h/c hair, rather pretty e/c eyes, and a cute nose. Wait. Did I just think she has a cute nose?

"Why are you awake?" She's asks not taking her eyes off the stars. "The same reason as you I suppose. I couldn't sleep." I haven't been able to sleep for more than four hours at the most ever since what happened to Isabel and Farlan. "Ah I see." I look upwards at the sky with y/n. "Stunning." She whispers causing me to look over at her. "How'd you meet Ezra and Mia?" Y/n looks away from the stars and at me. Her e/c eyes seemed to shine brighter than the stars. "It's a long story." She locks her eyes into mine. "It's not like either of us are going to sleep anytime soon." Y/n shrugs her shoulders. "Good point." She then turns to face me. "It was about a year and a half when Ezra and Mia took me and Julia under their wing." Y/n stops to catch her breath. "This one day I had stolen a loaf of bread and some meat so me and Jules could have dinner that night. Well the merchants were chasing me right and I run into this random house asking Ezra and Mia to hide me. Which they thankfully did!" Y/ns story was similar to the way me and Farlan had met Isabel. "After the merchants were gone Ez and Mia demanded that I split the food with them. One thing led to another and we all just kinda formed our own little family."

"Your own little family?" Y/n rubs her shoulders to create some form of heat. "Yeah. We lived together for about a year until they were arrested and brought here." She puts her hands in her lap and plays with her fingers. "I'm glad we're back together again. I've really missed them." I look back up at the stars with y/n. "I wonder how many there are." "More than we could ever imagine."
