Snow Angel
Snow angel, you cried again. The snowflakes met your tears in a collison of nature. Behind you, a trail of staggering footsteps marred the otherwise perfect blanket of soft white snow.
Snow angel, who did this to you? Who took your fiery spirit away from you? Who crushed your soul and extinguished the flames of strength inside of you?
Snow angel, listen to yourself. This is not who you are. Go back. Remember the summer? Remember that young carefree girl who was worried about nothing except for camp?
Snow angel, turn your tears into fire. Turn your sadness into strength. You are not broken, just bruised. You are not beaten, only hurt. You can rise above the hole they've locked you in.
Snow angel, put down the knife. This is not what they can do. They will not take your beautiful life. They will not make angels die.
Snow angel, close your eyes. Its time for snow angels to sleep. Where once was pure holy white, the ground is spotted with crimson stains.
Snow angel, you look so sweet. Laying there as though you were dreaming. A young girl making snow angels in the deep silence of winter. Face pale. Lashes dark and soft against your cheek. Hair around your head and shoulders like a dark halo.
Snow angel, this is it.
Snow angels finally flew.
