It has been weeks since I met that girl. I really appreciate the thought that didn't come back.

Although, I really want some apple pie right now. Perhaps I should order again.

"Hello?"

I froze for a moment when I heard the familiar voice. It can't be...

No. She shouldn't be here.

"Ya! Open the door already!"

I unconsciously let out a sigh. She didn't listen to me, did she?

I went downstairs once more and opened the door. A girl in a blue frilly dress and braided hair greeted me.

"Hello again!"

"Didn't I tell you to not go back here?"

"Not really. You just told me to not deliver something to this address. I'm not delivering something so that would mean I could go here!"

That may be logical but it could mean  same thing, stupid.

"Why are you-"

"Nuh-uh! Is this how you treat your guests?"

The words struck me. Is she really trying the anger me?

Well... that's impossible.

"Come in then," I said and stepped aside. She gave me a small smile and jauntily walked inside.

She sat on the chair nearest to the door, "This is a lovely house."

"I didn't ask for your opinion though."

"Just say 'thank you' or something."

"Would you like some tea?"

"That would be nice."

I walked to the kitchen and she followed. At first, I neglected the thought but now... it seemed pretty suspicious.

"Bring out what you have."

The familiar confused expression was displayed on her face once more. "Wha- what do you mean?"

I snapped my fingers then violet smoke surrounded her left hand. A silhouette of an object appeared and it quickly vanished after I saw it.

"How did you-"

"For someone like me, I could mimic spells with ease," I paused and proceeded to making tea. "I'm hungry, bring it out already."

She huffed and pointed at the table. Yellow smoke appeared once again and she revealed a basket.

"I was thinking about ordering something though. Looks like I don't have to pay this time."

"I-It's just compensation."

"Oh? Compensation for what?"

Her fingers started fidgeting and her head hung low. She seemed hesitant. Her gestures say it all.

I placed the tray on the table then proceeded to pouring hot tea in two cups. "You managed to go home early, am I correct?"

The girl nodded her head slowly as a response. "It was a good thing I did. An accident happened on the road just after I came home," she replied.

She bit her lip before adding something to her statement. "Well... I was wondering..."

"How did I know it was about to happen?"

"Wait, that's what I'm a-"

"About to say? You've been wanting to ask me that for days but you couldn't come up with an excuse to come over here."

Her face was a mix of shock and confusion. I casually sipped my tea and looked at her once again.

"How did you know?" she asked.

I sighed and leaned on the back of my chair. "Let's just say... it's like a curse."
