Chapter 3: Back to School

I claim ownership of nothing but the Quirk idea.

Katsuki Bakugou didn't know how to think or feel at the moment.

After being taken home by his mother from the police station, Katsuki begins to reflect on the event that transpired. 

There were three things that have him shaken about the fight in the forest: The death of a man who was sitting so close to him, his total uselessness in the fight, and how Izuku ended up saving the day.

These thoughts begin to swarm around Katsuki's mind. Was he not strong enough? Was he weak? Was he useless? NO! He is Katsuki Bakugou! The future number one hero! He won't let a thing like this get the better of him! Even if the thoughts of Aqua tail's body in his mind begin to haunt him or how he was dead weight in the fight or how Izuku handled everythi- No.

Katsuki refuses to believe that someone did better than him, that they could be a better hero. He'll never let Izuku get top spot without a fight!

The next day at the daycare.

Izuku's been waiting the entire time to show the class his Quirk. He could not sit still due his excitement. So once lunchtime rolled around he started showing all the other kids his Quirk. There were looks of amazement directed at Izuku from many kids which give Izuku a big smile. Even a few teachers gave him some thumbs up, even if Quirks weren't allowed to be used at anytime.

His next objective is to show his best friend Kacchan, he just needs to find him and his two friends. Izuku looks around the class and spots Katsuki sitting by himself, seeming to be in deep thought. Izuku decides to go over and say hello to bring up Katsuki's spirits.

"Kacchan, Kacchan! Look at my Quirk! Isn't it cool!" Katsuki snaps out of his state, looks up ay Izuku and stares at him. Nothing happens until it looks like Katsuki gets mad and stands up abruptly, nearly knocking over Izuku.

"Listen here, Izuku! I don't care if you're Quirk is strong, I'm gonna be the best hero there is! Better than even All Might!" Katsuki yells, getting the attention of all the children and nearby teachers.

Izuku is a bit confused by this. 'Why exactly is Kacchan mad?' He wonders. He speaks again. "Ok Kacchan. But I wanna be the top hero too! So let's give it our all ok?." Katsuki pauses, and then hmphs at Izuku. "You better keep to your word then Izuku, or I'll just make sure you're out shadowed by me!"

Izuku didn't know it then, but would come to understand later, that him and Katsuki are rivals.

Over the years Katsuki got more and more agressive towards Izuku, challenging him at every single interval he could. Izuku would never accept this however, which would enrage Katsuki. Due to this people were scared of trying to befriend Izuku at the cost of being burnt by Katsuki's explosions.

Yes I know this is shorter than the other chapters. However, I needed something to help out with understanding Izuku and Katsuki's relationship and Katsuki's thoughts. Katsuki would antagonize Izuku a lot in the manga/anime because he thought Izuku was his greatest threat from the start. It would be easy to make this the same but that'd be overlooking the fact that Izuku has a viable Quirk and is caple of being a hero. Which also means no 'Deku' so I doomed myself to creating a hero name for Izuku. Great. I also wanted a way to keep Izuku the same to his personality so that way I'm not writing out of character moments. Out of character actions changes that character Greatly. That's a can of worms I ain't openin'. Anyway Next time of Electrical Manipulation: We skip ahead to the middle of Izuku's final year in middle school. Hope you liked this Chapter.
