11 - Common Mistakes

Before you scream, I know typos are made and the majority of you actually know what words you're typing. But some don't, and I've seen repetition of the same mistakes way too many times yoooo

breath is a noun.

breathe is a verb.

You cannot breath.

"Wait! I—I can't breath!"

Well of course you can't breath; no one can. We breathe fam. breathE

You can take in a deep breath.

And idk, maybe you can take in a deep breathe but that's just weird and wrong

chock has nothing to do with asphyxiation.

chock is not when you can't breath (i did that on purpose)

Chock is a noun, and it is a block you place to stop wheels from moving or it's this other object that I'm too lazy to explain

"You keep chocking me!"

hun... they're not taking you and using you as a block to stop their wheels from going and i don't think you can even use chock that way anyway

when did this chapter turn to the dark side

the dialogue examples seem like some scenes taken from a kinky smoot

Choke is the word that you're looking for. It's when someone is lacking oxygen and they're choking or whatever messed up scene you're typing

Remember: there's only one 'c' in choke.

Because I forgot the other common mistakes, here's this:

Your is when you/the person possesses something

You're is a contraction for "you are". You cannot write this: "Your dumb" because really, that would make you dumb ;')

jk i don't think any of you are dumb i know people are learning and your all amazing and—spot the mistake

There is used when indicating a place

Their is when more than one person possesses something

They're is a contraction for "they are".

I REMEMBER MORE COMMON MISTAKES!!!

Everyday is used when you mean "typical" or "ordinary". Example: Chanyeol was doing everyday chores."

Every day is used when you mean each day.

"Chanyeol cleans the windows every day, during his everyday chores."

Isn't that funkin crazy ugh I love English.

Anyway is an adverb meaning "regardless".

"Baekhyun was going to eat that chocolate anyway."
