Briyanna’s P.O.V
When Niall and I got out of the car, the billboards at the theater were filled with pictures of Billy Elliott. The musical that I had been trying to get tickets to for months before I left Edmonton. It had been sold out and I was heartbroken. I don’t know why he had taken me here. We had met just under a month ago. He couldn’t have had tickets. I started to get angry. It was like he was rubbing it in my face. Then he held out the tickets.
“Oh my God Niall! How?!” I said overwhelmed with joy.
“I went through management.” He said smiling down at me.
“I love you Niall.” I said before kissing him passionately. He pulled away reluctantly saying that the musical would be starting soon. We got to the theater and he led to the front of the seats and I looked up at him in confusion. When we got to the front, there were only two seats left. How had he gotten seats front and center? We sat down in them just as the lights went down.
The musical was about a young boy never fitting in with the other boys who were jocks and finding an unusual interest in ballet. His family didn’t accept it but he loved it so he pursued his dream and became a wonderful dancer. I connected to this so much with my family being non-supportive of my dreams and it made me emotional. Niall had been comforting towards me. A couple times I looked over at him and saw tears in his eyes. When the lights came up he bent his head down to my ear.
“Would you like to go back stage and meet the cast?”
“Are you serious?” He nodded and I agreed jumping out of my seat and reaching out my hand which he took. He led me to the door marked backstage and showed the guard two slips of paper that the ticket taker had given him earlier. He opened the door for us to slip past. I saw the boy who had played the lead and I looked up at Niall. He nudged me to go to him. I kissed him quickly and pulled him with me. I approached the boy and he smiled up at me.
“Hi, I’m Briyanna and this is the most amazing man in the world, Niall.” I said gazing up into his smiling eyes.
“Nice to meet you guys!” He turned to Niall. “I’m guessing you got her tickets?” Niall nodded smiling.
“You were amazing tonight, I have been dancing for 15 years and there is so much of what you did tonight that I only dream of doing.” I said admiringly.
“You are probably just as talented as I if not more with that training.” He said up at me.
“Not even.” I denied.
“What are you training in?” He asked curiously. I told him my dance background and his eyes lit up.
“Wow, you have trained in so much. I have specifically trained in ballet. You could probably do so much more than me.” He said.
“Thank you.” I said smiling.
“Well I better get going. Thanks for coming, glad you enjoyed the show!” He said turning away.
“Can we get a picture before you go?” Niall spoke up.
“Sure thing.” He said turning back before wrapping an arm around my waist. Niall snapped a picture with the camera he had been carrying around all day. Niall grabbed my hand and led me back out to the almost empty lobby after meeting the rest of the cast briefly.
“Thank you so much Niall.”
“Anything for you princess.” He said smiling down at me. “Ready to go to my favorite place?” I looked at him confused. On the plane he said Big Ben was his favorite.
“But you said Big Ben was your favorite.”
“I lied.” He said smiling getting into the car. Brandon drove us back towards the flat and stopped.
“The flat is your favorite place?” He shook his head. We walked into the lobby and got onto the elevator. He pulled a piece of fabric out of his pocket and told me to turn around. I obeyed and he tied the blindfold over my eyes preventing me from seeing. He played with my hair for a moment before wrapping his arms around my waist and kissing my head. I had never felt safer in someone else’s arms. The elevator doors opened and he took my hands and walked with me for a bit before opening a door.
“I’m going to carry you okay?” Before I could say anything my feet were swept out from under me. I giggled wrapping my arms around his neck and leaning my head on his shoulder. He set me down after a few flights of stairs and jingled some keys and opened another door. I felt a warm rush of fresh air and I knew we were outside. He led me a few steps further.
“Take off your blindfold Love.” I took it off and looked at what he was showing me. London. We were on the roof top and I could see everything. It was even more beautiful than what the London Eye had shown us. Everything was lit up and beautiful. I looked around the roof top and saw a table with candle light and food set up on it. It was the chicken parmesan that we had had at Nandos not to long ago. He grabbed my hand and took me over to the table. He pulled out my chair as I sat down.
“Thank you.” I said sweetly.
“Bon appetite.” He said sitting down.
We finished about half an hour later. This day has been one of the most amazing days I have ever had, I know that isn’t saying a lot, but it’s true. He stood up and held his hand out to me. I took it and he took me to the other side of the roof where there were blankets and a few pillows.
“You planned everything didn’t you?” He nodded proudly. We sat down. Even after all the times we just sat and talked, we found new things to talk about all the time.
“I love you.” I told my boyfriend as we watched the sun rise. He was the first man I gave my heart since Ian. But I didn’t want to think about that now. It was just me and Niall.
“I love you too.” He said leaning in to kiss me.
