Niall’s P.O.V

Watching Briyanna dance, I saw a whole new side of her. I had never seen her so consumed in something, and never so happy. It made me a little sad that I wasn’t included in it, but it made me so happy that I helped her reach this. It was beautiful. I didn’t want her to give it up. I couldn’t let her walk away.

We walked out of the room where I witnessed the most beautiful thing ever. We came face to face with no other than Ian.

“What are you doing here Ian?” Briyanna asked as I wrapped my arm around her and brought her body closer to mine protectively.

“Oh, you know, just checking out the studio.” He said acting innocent.

“Why?” I asked wondering what he could have to do with a dance studio.

“Ian dances too. It’s actually how we meet.” Briyanna answers my question.

“We have to get going.” I told him tugging Briyanna with me towards the door. We got into an awaiting cab. “Why is he looking at a dance school in London?” I asked.

“I don’t know.” She said rubbing her forehead.

“Do you think he’s moving here?” I asked worried.

“No. His little sister needs him. She is autistic, and his mother left when she was born and his dad is an alcoholic. I’m really surprised he left her.” She explains to me playing with the fingers on my hand. I didn’t really know what to say anymore. I changed the topic to a lighter one.

“You are truly an amazing dancer.” I told her 100% truthfully.

“I wouldn’t say that-” I cut her off before she could get another word out.

“Stop. You are, seriously. I knew you had been dancing for your whole life, so obviously you were good. But I never expected that. You were totally consumed in it. I have never seen you look so happy.” I told her. She smiled shyly and went back to playing with my fingers.

“There is only one thing in this world that compares to the happiness it brings me.” She said.

“What’s that?” I asked looking at her.

“You.” That was all she said when she looked up to meet my eyes. I don’t think I have ever been so happy. Well, except when she said yes to being my girlfriend.

“I love you.” I told her. I was speechless.

“I love you too Niall.” She said resting her head on my shoulder. I kissed the top of her head. We were on the way back to the flat when she asked.

“Can we stop by the hospital quickly?” She asked me. I nodded and asked the cab driver if he could drop us off at the hospital. We weren’t too far away from the hospital. It took about 15 minutes to arrive. We got out and we walked into the hospital and straight to her father’s room. We walked in and there was a nurse checking the I.V.

“How is he doing?” Briyanna asked. I reached for her hand.

“Definitely better than yesterday. The brain damage is going to be minor. The swelling has gone down dramatically.” Briyanna let out a sigh of relief and lessened the grip on my hand. We sat down on the chairs.

“Dad, this is my boyfriend, Niall.” She said jokingly.

“Nice to meet you sir.” I said reaching for his hand. I gave it a light squeeze. We both laughed at this. I was happy that she wasn’t as upset about her father in the hospital.

“He isn’t going to be happy when he wakes up and finds out that I am dancing again.” She sighed.

“If it makes you this happy, then he should be supportive.” I told her.

“I wish he viewed it the same. He is so hung up on me becoming a lawyer. I won’t do it though. It’s not who I am. I want to be a nurse. Not a lawyer and he knows that.” She said running a hand through her hair.

“I think you should do what makes you happy. No matter what that is.” I told her squeezing her hand.

“Thanks.” She said smiling at me. “Wanna go get some food? I’m always hungry after I dance.”

“Of course!” I told her and I ran out of the room pulling laughing Briyanna behind me. The nurse shot a glare at me when I almost ran into her. I stopped so she could pass and I looked at Briyanna who wasn’t paying attention. I picked her up and through her over my shoulder. She squealed then giggled as I ran through the hall, ignoring the annoyed glares from the doctors and nurses. I heard one of the older patients mutter.

“Young love, beautiful isn’t it?” She said sighing and looking up at the nurse pushing her wheel chair. She smiled and nodded at the woman. I ran out the doors and onto the street. I kept running down the street with Bri screaming at me to put her down until I couldn’t anymore. I dropped her on a nearby bench and flopped down next to her.

“Your turn.” I said jokingly. I grinned at her as she laughed. She had such an adorable laugh. Hearty and loud, so cute. “Can I have a kiss?” I asked still smiling. She was leaning in for our lips to meet when she paused an inch away.

“You’re gonna have to catch me first.” She told me just before she jumped up and started running down the street. Exhausted as I was, I wanted that kiss. I took off running after her; it didn’t take long for me to catch up with my legs being longer. I wrapped an arm around her waist stopping her running.

“Got ya.” I whispered into her ear. I felt her shiver under my arms. I pulled her behind a nearby store. I pressed her against the wall of the building. She got on her tip toes so our lips met. Her lips slowly started moving on mine. When her mouth opened, I slid my tongue inside. Wrapping my hands in her hair, I flicked my tongue across the roof of her mouth then slid it across her tongue. We were interrupted by my phone going off. I groaned and slid my phone out of my pocket. It was Zayn; it always was Zayn interrupting us. The text was asking where we were and when we would be home. I replied telling him that we were just grabbing some pizza and we would be home soon. I turned back to Briyanna.

“How does pizza sound to you?” I asked her.

“Perfect.” She nodded. I grabbed her hand and we walked around the building. There was a pizza parlour across the street from us. We crossed and walked in. We were the only customers in the restaurant so we walked up to the counter and ordered. I got the meat lovers and Bri got the veggie deluxe. We were served almost immediately and we sat down to eat. I could feel the waitress’ eyes boring into the back of my head, begging me to turn and look at her. Briyanna noticed that she kept staring at me and that I refused to return the gaze. I knew how she felt about other girls showing interest in me. She knew how I felt; I didn’t even look at another girl. There wasn’t any point. There was only Briyanna. When we finished, I paid and tipped the waitress. We caught a cab back to the flat. Waiting for us outside, was a very angry… and very… naked Zayn.
