Elsa came in after class started and handed the teacher a folded note. He looked at her and nodded before she walked out of the classroom. She was only in the classroom for a few seconds, but I noticed the subtle glace over her shoulder, when her eyes locked with mine. It was painful to watch her tear stricken face.
"Frost. Hall now." Besides being our teacher he was also the couch of the football team. He really liked to use his outside voice. I stood up and grabbed my books, walking out into the hall.
He didn't follow me out into the hall, but instead closed the door when I left the classroom. Elsa was standing across from the door leaning on the locker. She stood up proper when she saw me making her almost as tall. I stood up straighter to make the height difference larger one thing I prided myself on was that I was tall, not overly tall but tall enough to be intimidating.
"Why are you not in class?" I asked.
"I could ask you the something."
"That little note that you gave Coach may be the reason." She gave me a weak smile. "So why did you want to get me out of class? Is it because you just couldn't resist my charming personality." I smirked.
She just shook her head at me. "I'm going to act like I didn't hear that." Looking at me she lost her smile. Was she really still that mad at me? "I have something that will explain my rudeness." She started.
"Rudeness?" I inquired. "When where you rude?"
"For walking out on you at the beginning of class and ignoring you at lunch. I just have a lot on my mind."
"Don't we all." I stated. She shrugged as if to say 'yeah I guess so.'
"But I'm the Queen and it was rude of me to do that." She looked down at her shoes and sighed. "It just when I was little." She started to get chocked up and I could see the first tear sliding down her cheek even if her head was bent low.
"Hey." I couldn't let her do this. It was too soon and I understood that. "It's too soon to remember. I get that."
She looked up at me with gratitude and before I could say anything else she grabbed me in a tight embrace. What happened next was so exhilarating. I cupped her face in my hands and lowered my lip till they reached hers and than she kissed me back. Her lips were perfect and as time went on I deepened the kiss. In the back of my mind I knew that this wasn't a good idea. With everything going on I was just putting her in the middle, but I need this.
When we pulled away she looked down at the floor as if it was the most interesting thing ever. "I'm sorry. I-I shouldn't h-have done that." She stuttered.
"Uh yeah. I guess I just got caught up and I shouldn't have kissed you. I'm sorry." I tried to explain myself, but there really wasn't anything to explain. I kissed her and she kissed me back.
"I'm sorry." She said one more time before walking off and leaving me to contemplate what I just did. As she walked away three words popped into my head. I love you. And that was when I realized that I couldn't do it. I couldn't put her in the middle of the war even if she could handle herself and oh, she could she shouldn't have to experience that.
With that I walked in the opposite direction as far as I could go away from Elsa.
