THE DISCOVERY THAT THOMAS HAS ALWAYS BEEN THE SOURCE OF THE RIGHT ARM WAS BIG. It seemed like the members of the Right Arm were just as surprised as Thomas himself. "Get these guys some warm clothes." continued the woman but not many had really been listening as most had been lost in their thoughts.
Men heaved Brenda up and took her to the tent which the woman spoke of. "Mary, could you look at Thea's hand?" Sonya was quick to ask the woman whose name was Mary about Thea's situation. Mary glanced at Thea's aching hand and furrowed her eyebrows together. "Okay. Thomas, come on. I'll get you later Thea okay?" Thea nodded at the woman and watched as she left.
The day went by and Mary called Thea to her into a tent. "What happened Thea?" quizzed Mary as she took Thea's aching hand into her hands. "I don't know." spoke Thea truthfully. Mary looked Thea into the eyes as if she was searching for something special. "Let me see." mumbled the woman.
"You haven't changed one bit, have you?" it was something which Thea didn't really understand. Did Mary know her before the maze? "Did you know me before I went into the maze?" Thea sought for the answer of such a simple question. "Yes I did. I have known you since you were quite young Thea."
A stinging sensation made its way through the blond girls' hand as she winced at the feeling. "Sorry I had to do it." explained Mary as she tied a bandage around Thea's left hand. "What did you do all these years?" Mary's question caught Thea off guard as her face got pale.
"W-what? Nothing!" the girls' answer wasn't very convincing. "I'm a doctor for a reason Thea. I can see a serious injury, even if it sometimes dates back to years ago." The girl in question knew what Mary was referring to, the aching in her hand wasn't her most recent hand injury. "It was something which happened in the maze but I don't want to talk about it now."
Thea wasn't too keen on coming off as rude but she didn't want to talk about it as it was something quite private. "Ok, that's alright but if it hurts again then talk to me. Just be careful Thea. Be careful and watch out for the ones you love and care about." Mary's last words were quite specific but Thea would definitely think about them.
"Thank you, I will." smiled Thea before she left the tent. She thought about what they had talked about and wondered if she could ask Mary about the past one day because she really wanted to find out more about who she had been once. "You lost in your thoughts again, Thea?" Aris tapped his friends shoulder to burst her out of her bubble.
"Yea, you guessed right." Thea let out an awkward laugh as she smiled at her friends. "We wanted to catch up for a bit." Clara smiled at her friend who stood there as confused as always, a typical Thea move. "Sure." The group started to talk about what had happened over the time they were torn apart.
"So we broke out. I'm telling the truth." explained Aris but Harriet, Sonya and Clara just laughed. "It's true, we actually broke out." agreed Thea as she had been there. "It's hard to believe that you two escaped because you two are totally sticks." joked Clara. "Excuse me, I was a runner once too, ya know." argued Thea jokingly, she actually had been a runner once.
"Oh, yeah right. Hey, Thea you alright?" Aris noticed the drop of his best friends' face expression. "No, Mary just told me that she knew me before I got sent up into the maze. I want answers. For the last days I have been feeling how my heart ached and how I had a weird feeling in my stomach. I don't know what's going on with me."
Her friends looked at one another with confused glances except Aris, he knew what was going on - or at least he thought so. "Thea, do you have a crush?" quizzed Aris very bluntly. The heads of all of the girls snapped into Thea's direction as Thea's eyes widened to a size which could rival the ones of a doe. A light blush made its way upon her face.
"N-no." mumbled the girl in question as she held her head low. "She does!" giggled Sonya as she looked at her best friend. The former was happy that her friend could finally find happiness. "So who is it?" questioned Harriet with a smirk as she placed her chin on her hand. "It's Newt." whispered Aris into the group.
"Who?" asked Clara as she tried to figure out who 'Newt' was. "Well... he has blond hair which is cut relatively short but also a bit long. His eyes are in a beautiful chocolate brown colour and he has this cute grin sometimes and... Oh." Thea trailed off a lot. Then she realised that she really had a crush on the boy.
"Ooh, I know who he is." grinned Sonya at her best friend. Many would call her immature but she wasn't as she was the youngest in the group, something they figured out one day by comparing how old they looked. Their conversation continued by them mostly teasing Thea or by the just telling one another more stories.
Suddenly Thea heard the sound of aircrafts coming closer as it sounded so familiar. Her eyes widened as her face got pale. "Thea!" shouted Aris as he shook his friend until he also heard the sound. Soon the situation escalated. WICKED guards were let down from helicopters and shot at people.
"Come on!" yelled Harriet and pulled Thea with her. The just reunited friend group tried to stay together. Bombs were fired down setting things on fire, it was a massacre. Thea could hear the shouts of people encouraging one another and some pain filled screams which mortified her. "Harriet! Ammo!" yelled Vince from a far to Harriet. "Vince! Harriet!" Minho and the others came over to them while trying not to be hit in the chaos.
"Over here!" shouted Harriet. "How can we help?" quizzed Frypan as he crouched down. "You need to cover us!" instructed Harriet. "Clara!" yelled Thea as she saw the auburn haired girl running towards them. The girl joined them too. "Hey, do you know how to use this thing?" boomed Vince to Minho.
The constant noise made it almost impossible for Thea to understand anything. "Take this!" shouted Harriet as she handed her a gun. Thea's eyes widened, "You can do it Thea!" encouraged Harriet as Thea pointed it at a WICKED guard coming closer. The latter shot the gun and electrocuted a guard. Out of some reason she was one of the only people who got a WICKED gun. Soon enough Thea had no ammo for the gun anymore and had to pick up a riffle.
She felt nervous as beads of sweat dribbled down her forehead, she never shot a person with a bullet or at least she can't remember it. She focused on a guard coming closer and pulled the trigger, the blond watched how the man fell down. She did it. The yells became louder, the chaos became more and more confusing.
"I'm out!" declared Frypan referring to the fact that he doesn't have any bullets anymore. "Same!" added Thea as she tried to take cover from the flying bullets. She could hear a weird noise and then Newt shouting, "Oh! Look out!" before she felt a weird sensation flowing through her body. They all got electrocuted.
She wriggled on the floor as she saw how guards came closer. The group ended up being placed in a row with Thea kneeling besides Newt and Minho. Thea could see how a guard pushed Sonya forwards in a violent fashion. A man walked closer to Newt and placed a gadget near his neck. It made weird noises and then stopped. "A-5" spoke the guard and moved to Thea. The process was repeated. "B-5"
They were numbers or letters and numbers. "A-7" was Minho's number. They were treated like objects, not like humans. Many children were lined up in rows as weird gadgets were held against their necks. Each one of them had a letter and a number, for example B-5 which is Thea's. But why were they labeled like that?

The truth about Thea's feeling is out and the battle has begun. The question is, what does Mary know and what had happened to Thea once?
