Spider-Man: Dark Web

The Plan

Tony sat in the medical center in Wakanda listening to what the young girl had to say about his condition, apparently the nano bots that he had designed to form the armor took their role of protecting Tony seriously as some of them seeped into his system and began to repair the wound already. Shuri informed him that the bots actually are nearly done their work on the wound so there was nothing that she could do. He simply nodded along to everything she said as he had something on his mind.

When Shuri left his bed side the door opened and Steve walked in, he looked at Tony with a smile, "Hey Tony." Tony smiled back, "Hey Capsicle." Steve rolled his eyes, Tony couldn't help but notice how he rolled his eyes in the similar way as Peter did.

"Tony you okay?" Steve asked with genuine concern in his voice, Tony realized that there were tears leaking from his eyes. Steve spoke up, "If it is to do with Pepper and if she is okay, we checked after you landed, she is fine and is at the compound." Tony nodded but the tears continued to fall.

"It's not Pepper is it Tony?" he asked.

"Spider-Man, he died in my arms begging for his life and I couldn't do shit," he sobbed in response. This surprised Steve, he never saw Tony even shed a single tear when Phil Coulson died in the battle of New York. But this hero dies and suddenly he can't keep his emotions back. That's when it dawns on him, "You were close to him...Spider-Man I mean." Tony simply nods in response.

After a few moments of silence Tony speaks, "He was only fifteen Steve." Steve looks at him in shock, "Fifteen?" Tony nods, even Steve finds it hard to keep a tear at bay and he barely knew the kid.

"But I have a plan to get him back, to get everyone back," said Tony to Steve's surprise and delight.

"H-how are you going to do that?" asked Steve with interest. Tony looks him in the eye and grins and it is an evil looking grin.

"Simple...we kill Thanos."

Steve laughed then stopped when he realized that Tony was being serious.

Tony hopped out of bed and all he could do was look out the window while Cap stood there watching him, after a few moments he said, "Tell the remaining Avengers to assemble." Steve could hear the authority in Tony's voice and he didn't even think about disobeying him.

Three hours later...

Tony stood in front of the Avengers in a gigantic board room, they all looked pleased to see him, but he didn't take notice of their expressions. They can all see the difference in his demeanor from when they all last saw him, gone were all the egotistical, narcissistic tendencies. He seemed to be more focused, more of a leader than he was before.

"Alright everyone, glad you gathered," said Tony with no emotion, "We have all faced that purple faced bastard Thanos, and we have all miserably failed to beat him, but I have a way to beat him and I am going to need all of you to work together to make this work."

Thor stepped forward, "Stark, I have seen his power with all the stones we cannot defeat him, we will all perish before we even lay a finger on him." This statement sent murmurs of agreement around the room, that's when Tony got scary. He slammed his fist down onto the black conference table and boomed, "SHUT THE FUCK UP!" 

The raccoon laughed, "What are you gonna do about it buster."

Tony tapped the chest piece and the nano bots formed around him concealing him into his armor, he blasted a hole in the wall and looked at the raccoon, "That's what I am going to do so sit down and stay quiet, understand me?"

Rocket looked at the sizzling hole in the wall and agreed to sit down, everyone looked at Tony in his new armor with a trickle of fear. The helmet disappeared into the armor and Tony had an angry sneer, "anyone else going to completely disrespect me?" They all shook their heads.

"Good," said Tony, "Now I have built a device that has the ability to disrupt the Infinity Stones from their gauntlet. Not removing them but making their powers null. If we can beat Thanos and retrieve the two most important stones we can resurrect a majority of the population."

The team look to each other in shock, then to Tony, Natasha speaks up, "When did you build this device?"

"When we built Vision, I thought it would be good to have a contingency plan in the event that Vision was actually Ultron, but never mind that. The important thing is the device exists, however it requires a huge amount of power for it to operate and maintain the power.

"The arc reactor at Avengers Tower we could use that! It was used to open the breach between space and New York, that was powered by not one but two stones," yelled Bruce, "And if I am right in what I am thinking you are planing to use the quantum nullifier that we built to disrupt the natural frequency of the stones causing a power fail! It's brilliant!"

"Exactly but we would need a stabilizing agent to keep everything from breaching the quantum realm otherwise we could end up destroying all of New York," chipped in Shuri, "And I think that the correct amount of Vibranium coupled with an attached fusion chamber would be able to absorb the quantum energy that is emitted by the stones."

"Exactly what I was thinking young lady," smiled Tony, "So now that we have that out of the way lets work on getting to New York."

Six hours later...

The Avengers landed in the street outside of the tower in the Wakandan stealth jet, the doors opened and the Avengers, Shuri and Rocket stepped out, the street was entirely abandoned. Everyone looked around there were cars empty laying with doors open, there were random objects scattering the ground and there was a single balloon that said "Happy 5th Birthday" tangled in a tree.

Bruce stepped forward and he could hear someone screaming at the top of their lungs, "HELP ME PLEASE! SOMEBODY!" It seems he wasn't the only one as everyone started looking around to see where the voice was coming from. Bruce shouts to get their attention, "There!"

The all look to where he is pointing to see a column of smoke, as everyone makes to rush in that direct Bruce holds up his hand to stop them, "You guys head to the Tower I am taking this one." He turns to the smoke his skin getting greener an his muscles growing in size until he transformed into the Hulk. Hulk turned to the team, "Go to Tower, Hulk save people!" and then he jumped into the air disappearing into the distance.

They all stop from their stupor as they all run towards the tower, everyone hoping that Tony's plan would work.
