Moira's Pov
"Good morning! How are you?" I ask the person who just came in, not paying attention to who it actually was.
"Hey! Moira already said you're banned from her store! Stay away." One of my regular customers says. I look over and roll my eyes.
"Go away Xavier." I say.
"But I love you!" He says. Xavier is the hopeless romantic of the town. Ever since we were 12 he's wanting to be with me, but will go off with other girls.
"Last week you told Quin you love her. And then the week before it was Star. Get out of my store."
"But I truly do love you!"
"It's lust, not love. Now leave before i call for the authorities."
Xavier leaves my store crying, dropping his flowers on the way out. He acts like a child.
"Don't you think it's a bit rude to do that?" A young boy, about 15, asks. He recently moved to the kingdom, and has been visiting the shop everyday since he's come.
"He's been like that since we were 12. It's annoying honestly. The first 20 times I let him down slowly but it becomes a burden after a while." I say.
"Oh."
"My friend Quin has it worse though. She has so many suitors! I have no idea how she deals with it." I push up my glasses and laugh a bit. I'd die if I had as many people after me as Quin does.
"Can you tell me about the people of this kingdom?" The boy asks. "I'd like to know more since I just moved here."
"Of course. Sit down." I say, pointing to one of the stools to the side of the desk, where I'm standing. "Who do you want to hear about first?"
"The girl who sells delicious food at the potions shop!" He says, motioning outside.
"That's Quin. She keeps to herself most of the time. She's one of my friends, and she's one of the most courted girl in the kingdom, as I said earlier.
"What about the quiet one that sells her art?" The boy says.
"That's Star. She's mute but a good person. She didn't have a good family life though."
"The princes?"
"Well, there's Prince Clover, the eldest. He's very kind. There's Prince Rowen, the youngest. He has no discernible personality." I smile. "Then there Prince Matthew. He is a mythic bitch. Oh, sorry for my profanity." I cover my mouth. I usually don't swear in front of my customers.
The boy laughs. "I'm Connor by the way."
"Moira. I'm gonna be away from the store for a while, starting the 14th. You seem old enough to run a store. Wanna help me out and keep shop for a bit while I'm gone?" I ask. I need all the help I can get, and this kid seems pretty good. "I'll pay you of course."
"Yes!"
"Awesome! Actually, I have to get going. Would you and the girls," I point to the regular girls, "keep shop until 7?"
"Yes please! Thank you!"

I'm happy those kids will keep shop, I can actually get home for dinner. Maybe I can even help make it!
I stopped by Star's house earlier and she was passed out. I hope she's ok.
"I'm home!" I say. My younger siblings run to me. I'm the oldest sibling, with 4 younger ones. The youngest is 6 years old and he's adorable.
"Moira! You're home!" The twins girls, who are 9, say in unison.
"Yep. Where's mom?"
"In the kitchen. Let me help you with those books." My 15 year old brother takes the books I was carrying.
"So James, there's a boy your age in town and he's cute. He's actually helping me out in the shop." I smirk as we walk up the stairs to put the books in one of the many bookcases.
"Moira, don't even think-"
"But what if he likes guys as well?"
"He is. I've already talked to him and we're friends."
"Well maybe you can be more than friends!"
"It's not gonna happen.." James says. He walks away from me and goes to his room.
I sigh. I just want him to be happy. Ever since Dad left he's been in a depression.
"Moira! What's this about a game?" The twins yell.
"Hey! I told you not to go through my stuff!" I scream as I run to my room. James suddenly comes out of his room when he hears me yell and joins in the teasing.
"You're gonna get married to a prince?" James says, reading the letter.
"You guys suck!" I say, taking away the letter.
"Mom! Moira is gonna be royalty!" My youngest brother runs downstairs. He was also listening?
How does mom keep up with taking care of the twins, the youngest, and James?
