Moira's Pov

"Moira~" A voice said. "Wake up~"

"Leave me alone." I pulled the blanket over my face.

"I have food!"

"I don't care."

"I heard Fairy Tail has a new manga out!"

"Really!?" I got up very quickly. I was napping on my boyfriend's couch.

He was named Alex. We were only together because I was 13 and stupid. So, stupid.

"ALEX NO!" I cried. The bright light from the fire lit up my face. In front of me was his house, set aflame.

I was devastated.

I wake up in a sweat. My hand goes up to my ears automatically. I sigh.

My grandmother on my father's side was a elf. My grandfather was human and they fell in love, making my dad, who didn't have any elf genes. Of course had to be the only one in my family to get the elf genes. That means the powers as well.

I can make people fall in love with each other. Well, that's my main power. When I fell for Alex, he despised me. So I used my magic. Karma hit me so hard that I was ready to die right then and there.

Because of this I don't believe in love. I think people disguise lust, longing, and fear as love. In this 'game' the princes will just choose the prettiest for their hand. It doesn't matter if they truly love them as long as they can keep up the act.

That's why there's so much love in stories. It's not real.

I walk downstairs in my pajamas since I don't have to work. James offered to work the shop today. Mom is shopping and the kids are hanging out with friends. I'm alone.

Then the door bursts open. James comes rushing in. "Moira!"

"What is it James?" I say, surprised he's here. "Why aren't you running the shop?"

"Can you please make Connor fall in love with me?" Just yesterday he was saying he didn't like him. Funny how he can change his feelings so quickly.

"James, you know I don't like using my magic."

"Moira please...just this once."

I sigh. "Which way do you want the spell to be cast?"

"The letter way?"

"Fine."

To make Connor fall for him this way, James will write a love letter to Connor and I'll put the spell on it to make sure Connor will fall for him when he reads it.

I can also put the spell on arrows and shoot arrows at people to make them fall in love. I tried this way a couple times and always failed because I have terrible aim. I always hit the wrong people! Most of the people I accidentally hit are always looking a Quin because they love her food so I'm kinda the reason she has like 20 extra suitors.

There's many ways I can make people fall in love, including potions. Not those fake potions most wizards or witches sell that make someone fall in love with you for a year or 2, I mean potions that will make people fall in love for eternity. That's what my power is capable of.

Everything goes wrong though. It's too strong. I always mess up something. That's why I barely use it. Sometimes I practice, but I just get lectured when I do that because I mess up.
