Quin's POV

I was up stairs practicing a new barrier spell when the doorbell rung, causing me to lose concentration and fall onto the floor. I was just getting it too!

"Quin! There's someone here to see you!" My dad called out. I ran down stairs hoping it was Moira or one of the kids from the village, but no it was Calahan! For fuck's sake! My dad walked away giving me a weird look.

"Dad noooo! Help meh!" I whisper-shouted. "Send him away!! Use da magic!!!" My dad shokevhis head and kept walking. THANKS DAD!!!

I reached the door and he smiled in a love sick way, "Quinny~ my love~ your here~"

I shuddered. "Ok don't call me that I am certainly not your "love", I am a person who chooses personality and your lacking it," I sassed.

"But my beloved~ I could have any girl in the kingdom but I want you~" he cooed leaning on the doorway. I cringed.

"Please go away," I begged trying to close the door but he kept it open. "Calahan please! I am going to the palace in two days time, I do not need nor want you!" I kept trying to close the door. Damn my small physique!

"I believe she told you to leave her alone Calahan!" A voice said from behind Calahan. RUSSELL!

"Russell!" I shouted. My knight in shining armor is here! "Oh save me good sir!" I said dramaticly as Russell came into view.

"Of course sweet princess!" Russell grinned cheekily. He cast a barrier spell to keep out unwanted guest. Calahan went flying.

"YOU DAMN CHASE'S!" Calahan cursed and ran off to seduce some other poor lady.

"Couldn't of gotten here sooner?" I sassed, crossing my arms and staring at him.

"Oh be quiet you! You're lucky I got here at all! Maybe next time I won't save your ass from a guy like him," Russell sassed back.

I put on a baby voice and responded, "but then you'd be neglecting your universal rights of being a big brother~" he poked his tongue out at me.

"Whatever short stack, where's dad?" He asked ruffling my hair as he passed.

"Kitchen, he's heating up pie from last night for breakie before we go to the market. You wanna come? I heard Moira has a new Naruto book," I smiled.

"Sure kiddo, but you gotta let me have a chocolate croissant," he replied, walking into the kitchen.

"Only of you pay," I smirked, knowing he would cave because I loves my cooking. I walked into the kitchen and sat down next to him.

"But I'm my brother~" he pouted.

"So~" I said mimicking him.

"Meanie!" He said crissing his arms.

"Well? Are you going to pay or what?" I asked.

"Fiine!" He sighed in defeat. I grinned.

"Ok than eight bucks!" I said.

"What!? But it was six last time!" He protested.

"More people in town and a higher demand for them, especially from the royals, of and by the way I won't be around for a while because I'm going to the game..."

"WHAT?! DAD DID YOU KNOW!" He shouted. Our dad nodded. "WHAT THE HELL! ARE YOU KIDDING ME! HOW AM I MENT TO PROTECT HER FROM SUITERS NOW?!"

"Calm down Russ, I'll be fine, I know how to deal with princes," I smirked. "I am a royal after all~"
