Chapter 9↝Working together now (trying to stall)

Marissa's POV:

We all look at Ethan and shake our heads. I'm kinda nervous though, Grayson said he wanted to talk. Maybe ill shall time, yes im going to stall.
I suddenly scream out "i think we should work together, it would be alot easier and more fun. Plus its almost morning so we could get more work done. Oh and by the way Ethan and Jodie what did you guys build?"

" Well we built the best thing ever! You guys cant compete with what we have. In fact i shall lead the way to our paradise. " Ethan says sounding so confident i actually believe him!

We start heading back to there spot now its around sunrise now so its alot clearer to see where we are going. Before we reach the destination though Ethan make Grayson and I hold hands, and close are eyes. He said something about not wanting us to see this masterpiece until we are closer.

Jodie's POV:
If by Ethan's "masterpiece" he means his duck tape pillow, then Marissa and Grayson might as well just turn around now.

Boy, was I in for a surprise. My mouth dropped at what I was seeing. "Oh my God, Ethan....this is....amazing! How did you do this?" I looked up at the beautiful tree house resting a few feet above us.

Grayson and Marissa were also jaw dropped, at a loss for words. "Hey, I have my ways," he smiled and shrugged. "Wanna go inside? From the looks of it, I'd say we won this challenge already," he smirks and begins climbing up the latter.

"Wait for me!" I yell, climbing up quickly after him. I followed him inside, and it was even more beautiful than it was on the outside.

"I—I don't understand. How did you do all of this?" I asked, looking around as he recorded my reaction, smiling. "That's not something to know for now. What I do know though, is that we won." He says, laying down on the floor.

"I also made this all for you, too."
I paused and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "What do you mean?"

"Okay. Well, I guess I'm doing this," he says, standing up but putting the camera down. He began to walk towards me. Not gonna lie, I was a little nervous. I wasn't expecting what was going to happen next.

He grabs both my hands and looks into my eyes. "I've liked you ever since I first laid my eyes on you, Jodie."
I felt myself blush. "Go on," I teased, making him smile.

"You're the most beautiful girl I've ever met in my entire life, and I wanted to tell you that before but...I got scared. Which is also another reason why I ran off. But anyway, I feel like we're meant to be together. So, my question for you is; will you go out with me?"

I didn't know what to feel at the moment. I started to feel super excited, then a bit suspicious. "Wait...this isn't a prank for your channel, is it?" I ask. He looked a little offended.

"You think this is a prank?" He asks. I could hear a little bit of hurt in his voice. "Oh! No no no, it's just that...most guys never really...well...have said anything like that to me," I admitted. I felt my face turning red.

"Really...?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. "You're kidding."
"No," I shake my head. "I'm serious. You're like the first guy to actually notice me. And want to hold my hands," I say, smiling and looking at his hands that were grabbing mine.

"But I guess my answer to your question is...yes."
He smiled and I smiled, and suddenly without warning he pulled me in and kissed me. My heart was so happy at the moment I felt like I was going to explode!
