I'm a monster

Silvers pov

I stood at the large window, aware of my fathers stare. I sighed, looking out at the streets of the city.

What would've happened if I wasn't a monster? If I had met (y/n) and nothing kept us apart, we would have adventures and battle gyms and..... Be together, I suppose that's how I've always wanted it to be... Us together... But now it's all ruined, and its my fault. Giovanni was right.... I am a monster, and I don't deserve (y/n)

I was brought back to reality at the wet feeling on my cheeks, oh, don't be such a crybaby Silver... I wiped my eyes, careful to make sure Giovanni wasn't watching.

I shook my head and let out Croconaw from his Pokeball, it's childish I suppose, wanting to be comforted by a Pokemon, but I didn't care. Not now.

I watched the streets and grew curious at the attention of the crowd on a small group.

It seemed that the group was made up of three people, all in Team Rockets costume. The crowd was jeering at them. They were hard to make out but it was clear that they weren't reacting to the crowd at all.

That was odd for a team rocket member, most of them were hot headed and brash. Not to mention reckless. These people seemed to keep their cool. Strange.

I watched as they walked up to the building, I suddenly got a better glimpse at the group's faces.

Is... Oh my...oh my gosh! That's (y/n) down there!!

I fought the urge to lean against the glass and get a better look. Judging by their clothing they were trying to infiltrate the building, which meant that if I gave them away, they would be captured.
I held my breath and looked toward the street once more, I couldn't have my father see them.

I backed away from the window seating myself at a chair next to my father's desk. My father had left briefly and without a word. I knew he would be back soon, but never the less I picked up Croconaw.

" I'm sorry Croconaw. I dragged you into this... I was stupid to force you to stay here, I'm only a selfish brat."
I whispered holding Croconaw in my arms a way I saw (y/n) doing so many times.

~flashback(not shown in previous story... Unless I decide to later)~

"(Y/n) what are you doing?" I asked raising an eyebrow at her behaviour

"Isn't it obvious silver? I'm giving Quilava and Croconaw a hug!" She smiled at me, squeezing the two Pokemon in her arms.

Her fingers barely touched when she wrapped her arms around them like that.

" I mean sure, but..... Why?" I asked my mouth twitching upwards a little at the sight of her smile.

"Well, because they just battled super hard, and won!" (Y/n) laughed. She loosened her arms and let them fall to her sides.

" you should hug Croconaw, it'll probably mean more if it's from you!" She smiled setting Croconaw onto the ground and letting him waddle across the floor over to me.

I picked him up and looked critically at (y/n).

"Go on. Trust me he'll like it." She egged me on." Just wrap your arms around him and give him a squeeze, don't hurt him though. Like... A comforting squeeze."

"Um... Ok I guess?" I wrapped my arms awkwardly around the water-type pokemon, "(y/n) am I doing this right? It kinda just feels awkward....?"

(Y/n) laughed, she was certainly having fun with this. " hold him closer to your body, for starters. Besides its only awkward if you make it awkward!"

"Like this?"

"Yep! You got it down! And see! Croconaws enjoying it!"

~end~
I was broken out of my thoughts by
the clacking of shoes outside the door, I set down Croconaw " sorry" I whispered and put him in his Pokeball.

[~ bzzt~ KEEP ON ALERT! INTRUDER IN BUILDING! IMMEDIATELY ENGAGE ANYONE UNFAMILIAR OR SUSPICIOUS! I REPEAT INTRUDER IN THE BUILDING ~bzzt~]

I felt myself jolt at the sudden noise, (y/n) and the others...they got inside...

The door slammed open, and my Father stormed across the room grabbing a pokeball off his desk.

He pointed a finger at me, " you fight (y/n), I'll get the other girl, no funny business, You don't want to get on my bad side Silver."

I have to fight (y/n)...?
