Gentle golden light flickered across the mahogany desk as a small candle sat on the edge in a silver platter, wax dripping down the side slowly. A gentle tune was tapped out by manicured nails, an assortment of rings decorating the woman's delicate fingers. Scars whitened her already pale knuckles. The woman that sat on the lush high back chair had her eyes fixated on the rat of a man before her. To say that he was intimidated was an understatement. Each breath rattled in his ribs as he tried desperately to sink back into the chair he sat in. Her mismatch eyes, hidden behind black tinted glasses, were fixated on him. Cigarette smoke cascaded past her full red lips as her smoke bobbed between her teeth. She feared she would bite through it soon.

The man shuffled in his seat as he rubbed his knuckles. He knew exactly why he was in her private office. Claudia Holmes didn't take kindly to theft.

The white haired woman stood from her seat as she slid a crystal clear glass across the table towards the man, the object stopping just at the edge, while she picked up a wine bottle. The crimson liquor seemed to glow in the candle light as it trickled into the tall glass. Charlie, the man, gulped audibly as Claudia picked up the cup and held it out to him. He took it shakily, the drink sloshing around the edges of its confines. Her eyes flickered between the glass and his lips before the brunette lifted it slowly and took a deep gulp of the liquid that burned his through. She smiled at him, crimson lips pulling back to reveal perfect white teeth.

"Good, isn't it"

Her voice was low and sultry, sending jolts of fear down the rat of a man's spine, as her dead eyes bore into his flesh. He could most imagine the path that her gaze traveled turning a deep charcoals black, her way being seared into his skin. Charlie nodded shakily as he swapped the glass from hand to hand. Claudia smiled.

"You would know, wouldn't you Charlie"

His Addams apple bobbed as his throat tightened. He wiped a bead of sweat from his temple before placing the glass back on her desk. He took deep breaths but they just got caught in his throat.

"I-I, don't know what you mean ma'am" he stuttered out. His boss gave him a sickeningly sweet smile as she leaned forward ever so slight and blew a gentle stream of smoke into his face. Charlie shrank back into his seat.

"You're lying"

The mahogany door to Miss Holmes office creaked open as a man, tall and broad, made his way into the room. His neat hair was a sandy blonde while his narrowed eyes were a bright sour green. A crisp black suit was draped across his muscular body, shined black shoes clicking against the polished floor, while a fedora cast a deep shadow over his eyes. Dean Williams strode across the office till he stood behind Charlie's chair. The thief let out a small whimper when he caught a flash of the gun in Deans underarm holster. The blonde nodded to the white haired woman before placing a large hand on Charlie's boney shoulder and giving it a harsh squeeze. Claudia smirked as she brought the glass up to her eye level and swirled it around in the crystal cup. She watched as the red liquid swirled and sloshed at the sides before her eyes snapped to the man in the chair.
