Inspector Chester Campbell stood tall and revealed in the chaos that thrived around him.

His eyes, wicked and mean, followed each of his coppers as they dragged men and woman kicking and screaming from their homes. The crashing of glass and furniture filled the street. Children's cries were ignored. His chest seemed to swell with pride at how powerless that civilians of Birmingham were, like ants beneath his boot. Ants ready to be crushed.

His horses heavy hooves, fur black like coal, were strong in their steps. Thunderous thuds followed each footfall. Being atop a beast as large as the horse made the man feel almost kingly. He tugged the reins sharply. The beast huffed but ambled placidly down the streets and around the corner to where Sergeant Moss stood with a flock of other officers. They all snapped to attention when the Inspector neared them.

"Inspector Campbell, Sir" Moss nodded respectfully before he turned to make his way down the filthy cobbled street "pleas follow me"

Campbell urged his horse into a slow walk beside the police officer. Moss carefully pulled a folded piece of paper out of one of his uniform pockets, the parchment water stained and crinkled, before opening it up to read off the list. The older man listened closely.

"I have some of my men at the listed establishments that are under the protection of the Peaky Blinders" Mosses voice remained sharp and formal even with the chaos around him "anywhere under the protection of them is being searched."

"Good" the Inspected hummed.

"There is something else, Sir" Moss was almost hesitant as he spoke.

Campbell raised a brow, fist tightening around the leather of the reins. His voice was snappish "what is it?"

"There's one property, Sir" Moss read from the sheet in his hand "It's listed under the name of Claudia Holmes. It's under renovation but it's a large warehouse Sir"

A wicked gleam filled Campbell's eyes. The name rung in his head like a bell chime, shrill and painful. A sneer covered his lips. The thought of a woman filled him mind. An evil, vile, woman with red staining her tattooed hands. He began to scheme almost instantaneously. 'Two birds with one stone' he mused to himself quietly.

"Search every inch of that place" The Inspector barked "Leave no stone unturned!"

"Yessir!" Moss saluted but before he turned to gather his men to head to the warehouse, Campbell had called him back. The Sergeant almost reeled back at the nasty look in the older mans eyes.

"When your done searching the place" Campbell spoke slowly "burn it down"

"But sir-!?"

"That's an order Sergeant!" The Belfast man barked as he sat higher on his horse. His lips were pulled into a snarl while an animalistic hostility danced behind his murky eyes.

Moss nodded sharply "Yessir"

It's short but I hope it's enough to kind of round up the end of the prelude.
The story also picks up in episode 2 of season 1.
I'm also planing 2 other Peaky Blinders fics but both of them are male ocs. One with Tom Holland the other with Bryan Dechart. If I actually wrote them would anyone be interested?
I also made a Pinterest board for Claud under the username RebelsWinWars.
