The Story So Far

My Hero Academia: Advent of Rogue Hero takes place seven years after the events depicted in the My Hero Academia anime and manga. In a world where Quirks, or superpowers, and superheroes are normal, Izuku Midoriya is a Quirkless boy, a very rare specimen. Despite this, all he ever dreams of is becoming a hero and chases in the footsteps of his idol, the number one hero All Might. After a fateful meeting with his idol, Izuku receives All Might's unique Quirk and heads to the prestigious U.A. High to attend its hero course.

Along the way Izuku meets various friends and foes both in the school and outside of it. Also following All Might is Katsuki Bakugo, Izuku's best friend and rival - Bakugo would say otherwise. Despite his bad attitude and potty mouth, he also wants to become a hero. These two must face their weaknesses and fears in order to strive to become the greatest heroes.

Seven years after Izuku, or his chosen hero name 'Deku', has finished his first year at U.A. High, many of the top heroes have retired or chosen to teach at U.A. instead. One of these includes the number one hero after All Might's retirement, Endeavour. Both Deku and Bakugo have reached the debated spot of number one hero - Japan and even some of the rest of the world is split over who should be the top hero.

In the last few years, popular Pro Heroes in Japan have been going rogue without rhyme or reason, committing crimes and going against the core beliefs of heroes, before disappearing. Hero schools all around Japan are on high alert and are putting more effort than ever before to ensure their students are prepared for the worst.

Glossary

Quirk: The name for superpowers in the MHA universe

Pro Hero: Someone who has been recognised as a protector of the innocent and received an official license to use their Quirk in public if duty calls.

U.A. High: The most well-known hero school in Japan, and the primary setting of MHA.

Izuku 'Deku' Midoriya: The protagonist of MHA.

Katsuki Bakugo: The deuteragonist of the series, Deku's best friend and personal antagonist.

All Might: The series tritagonist and the idol/mentor of both Deku and Bakugo.
