*Warning: Contains a lot of technical lingo*
The song's a little short for the chapter so may have to play it on repeat (sorry guys).
(Y/n) POV
"You weren't kidding when you said your band was a local favorite," I managed to say as I admired the Twenty One Pilots tour posters on the walls.
"Ya, sorry I didn't tell you earlier. I just wanted to make sure you were really interested in the job," he said.
"As opposed to being just some fangirl?" I asked, trying to hide my disbelief.
"Well, I wasn't going to put it that way," He shrugged.
"Do you know how many male technicians I know that would kill to meet the band?" I asked with a smirk, trying to hide my rising anger. I wasn't going to blow this.
"I bet you $20 I know twice as many," he laughed before he showed me to one of the offices. I looked around at the mountains of sketches and models littered everywhere.
"This is incredible!" I said, leaning over a scale model of the stage.
"We 3D printed that one, there's one made out of popsicle sticks in the break room," He said and I gasped wide-eyed.
"Seriously?" I asked and he laughed.
"No, but there are earlier models I can show you later. Let's chat," He gestured to one of the armchairs in front of his desk.
"How long have you been in the industry?" He asked as he sat down behind the desk.
"A few years, since college. I have a degree in Live Entertainment Technology," I said and he nodded.
"What experience do you have?" He asked.
"Mainly local. When I first started college I interned at Bonnaroo as a lighting tech. Past that I work with the local theaters and venues here as a consultant," I said and he nodded.
"You wouldn't happen to have a resume with you?" He asked and I smiled. I quickly pulled a copy of one out of my bag and handed it to him.
"I always keep one with me," I smiled. He began to read it over and I felt myself suddenly get nervous.
"Is this a real job interview? I kinda thought I was just going to give my perspective on a show design," I said with a nervous laugh and he looked up from the resume.
"I'm always interest to find out more about anyone who might give input on the show," he smiled before he continued to read. I kept my hands in my lap and fiddled with my fingers until Daniel cleared his throat.
"There's no need to be nervous, your resume is very impressive! Common, I'll introduce you to the rest of the crew," He smiled as he stood up. I followed him out of the office and he lead me into a large meeting room. The room was occupied by a large table, littered with coffee cups and Taco Bell sauce packets. There were chairs all around the table with a man sitting in each one. Some were on laptops, sketching, or throwing paper airplanes. Daniel opened the glass door and cleared his throat. The men quickly quit throwing things and sat up straight.
"Boys, this is (Y/n). She's gonna give us feedback on the design," Daniel said and I gave a small wave to everyone. A few of the men tried to hide a laugh.
"Something funny?" I asked quickly and they shook their heads. I smiled as Daniel lead me to an empty seat at the tab;e. I felt so out of place, there wasn't a sign of another female anywhere. I doubted their cleaner was even a woman.
