Yoongi was still in the bathroom by dinner time. It was starting to worry Hoseok. Every now and then he'd hear the boy pacing back and forth in the bathroom, muttering incoherent words to himself. That's what scared Hoseok the most. He didn't know if Yoongi was on the phone, if he was talking to himself again, or if he was hearing that one voice he'd mentioned a few times in the past. Yet, Hoseok still made dinner for them, and it was just getting finished by the time the door of the bathroom swung open.
That excited Hoseok, a smile appearing on his face when he turned around, "Baby, I made us dinner. You came out just in time." He didn't want to make a big deal out of the fact that Yoongi spent 6 hours pacing the small bathroom floor, not wanting to push back away into hiding of the claustrophobic-causing room. The d Yoongi hated tight spaces, and Hoseok knew that well. This Yoongi...well he really didn't know this Yoongi.
"We have to leave," the tone of Yoongi's voice made Hoseok's smile instantly melt and drip to the floor beneath him. He looked at Yoongi with concerned in his eyes, a loud gasp leaving at the state of his precious boyfriend. Yoongi just watched him, his eyes dark and unfocused, not really all there and with reality.
"Yoongi, god, what did you do?" Hoseok practically screeched out. Yoongi's arms were covered scratches, blood seeping out of each long, ragged slice. They were going up his arms, none in perfect lines nor very deep. But each carried dark red droplets, trailing and smeared across the beautiful canvas of Yoongi's pale skin.
Yet, all he repeated was his cold, dead, "We have to leave."
Hoseok started to cry, very silently at that, "Yoongi...your precious skin. Why didn't you talk to me?" He started to sob, his shaking hand reaching out as if it would touch Yoongi, but never quite actually making it there. His eyes just kept looking over each slice made by nails. He could have stopped this. He could have prevented this from happening. But he just wrote his stupid paper instead of helping his boyfriend. His precious little Yoongi.
"WE HAVE TO LEAVE!" Yoongi shouted at the top of his lungs, spit practically spraying from his mouth, "THEY'RE COMING. WE NEED TO GO. WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!" He went to turn, to pack everything up in Hoseok's apartment, but Hoseok grabbed his arm, in a part where he seemed to find no cuts, though it was hard to tell with the blood everywhere, pulling Yoongi close.
That's when Yoongi crossed a line, slapping Hoseok across his cheek. Hoseok gasped, head turning with the impact of the hit. But, Hoseok grit his teeth, reminded himself who it was, and wrapped his arms around Yoongi's waist to throw him over his shoulder.
Yoongi screamed, thrashing about on his shoulder, punching at his back to try and break free. It made Hoseok cry more, but Yoongi needed help. He wasn't going to let him keep going like this, no matter how much he didn't want to oblige.
"YOU'RE GOING TO TAKE ME TO THEM! NO! HELP ME!" Yoongi shouted thickly, sobbing hard. But everyone around here knew how Yoongi was. No one was going to help him, even if Hoseok was actually trying to harm him in anyway, as sad as that sounds. He practically forced Yoongi into the car, locking his seatbelt while he kicked and punched at him.
There was now blood almost everywhere. It scared Hoseok so much, just how much blood Yoongi was losing from the cuts he'd made on his arms. He drove fast, to the nearest emergency room and was quite happily surprised no cop had stopped them in the process of getting to their destination. Seeing as the way Yoongi was screaming in the seat beside him, Hoseok probably would have been arrested on the spot. Especially from the state of the boys arms.
Once they made it to the hospital parking lot, Hoseok turned to Yoongi, watching him scream about how they were coming, letting the tears flow from his eyes for a small fraction of time. He needed to calm Yoongi down now if he wanted him to get any help at all.
"Yoongi, just shut up!" He finally let out, slamming his hands on the steering wheel. And Yoongi did shut up, his eyes now wide and afraid as they looked to his boyfriend. "No one is coming. You're fine. What we really need is for you to calm down and let me get you to the doctor before those scratches become infected or something."
"I-I'm sorry," Yoongi stuttered out, snapped out of his little fantasy from before. Hoseok just shook his head and got out of the car, going in the other side to open the door for the elder.
"Don't be," He finally muttered, taking his fingers between his own on the way into the automatic doors of the emergency waiting room. Hoseok made Yoongi sit while he got the papers and explained the episode to the nurse.
He knew it was getting bad, but he never thought Yoongi's mental breakdowns would ever lead them into the room they were now in. In a way, he felt at fault for what was happening. And, before, he thought Yoongi was just scared of a couple of bullies in his class, causing trauma to make him see and hear things. But this. This was different. It wasn't just a couple of bullies. Yoongi had genuinely believed that people were after him, and he was in grave danger. So many bad things could have happened to him because of what he thought. If Yoongi hadn't left the bathroom when he did, Hoseok feared there would be no Yoongi for him.
