The end of us

Moving day!

A week later Kaitly was finally healed. And Keagan approved of it. Well that was a big shocker since she winced twice! Yes twice! While showing us she could fight again. And Keagan said nothing of it!

The thing with Keagan happened 4 more times. I'm going to miss that. Since we'll probably have separated beds in the flat. Such a shame. I really want it to happen again. I haven't talked to him about it. I'm afraid he'll stop. And I don't want that.

Anyways moving on! We already packed the bags. Not that we really unpacked but ok.

And we made a plan. Well more like a route but plan sounds cooler. So we made a plan!

We'll walk straight, heh not, to the flats gaining cover from the buildings around. I'll go up front since I kind of know the way. Kaitly follows after me then Nora and then Keagan.

Nora and Kaitly would carry most of the bags since Keagan and I are on front and back so we'd cross paths with monsters more.

We all carry a gun, knife and either another knife or the baseball bat. Actually Keagan was the only one with the baseball bat. Again. He really liked that thing didn't he?

Anyways back to the story, once we were ready we went outside. The coast was clear so that's good. We want to keep it that way. But then again it has been silent for weeks now. I'm getting a feeling the same thing is gonna happen like last time.

I got a bad feeling about this. But waiting longer isn't gonna work. We're kinda sick from one another. We're getting really really annoyed by each other and it's not good.

We we're already halfway there no monsters were seen yet. So far so good. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

We reached a corner. So we stopped to check if there were any monsters, since I was upfront I checked.

To say that the sight shocked me would be an understatement. It scared me shitless. There were at least 50 monsters varying from small to big ones. We couldn't fight this many!

I turned back around and faced the rest of the group. They could see the shock and pure horror on my face and looked at me with a questioning scared look.

"50 monsters. Small and big ones. We.... we can't fight this! We have to find another way!"

I whisper yelled. There scared faces turned into horror ones. Same like mine. No wait a bit more horror. Mine was more scared. I think?

"Uh... Z-Zack!"

Nora yelled at me. Why would she do that! The monsters could hear her!

Before I could speak Kaitly spoke in a calm yet... scared voice?

"Zack please move away from the corner. Just come this way slowly."

Why? Whaat? I'm very confused now. Why would I move away from the corner? The monsters weren't even that close!

I turned around and saw the reason why they wanted me to run. But it was to late it already grabbed me by my arm and dragged me to itself. It opened its mouth, I was struggling trying to fight back but it didn't work. It had my arm almost in its mouth. I guess this is the end.

I don't want it to end I'm so young I have so many dreams. Please no.

I closed my eyes waiting for it to happen I couldn't do anything it had my arm in its mouth and held my body so I couldn't move. Al I could do was wait for it to happen.

Though it didn't. I heard a battle cry and after that a roar of pain. I opened my eyes and saw that Nora had cut of its arm. O thank god. Nora I love you. You safer my life.

I quickly moved away from it and towards the group. I grabbed Nora in my run and said to the others.

"I know another way follow me! Hurry!"

They al came running after me with the big horde of monsters behind us. I'm so glad we waited till Kaitly could run. Thank you Keagan for being so strict and overprotective!

I ran like a madmen. I looked behind me to see the group following me, I still held Nora's hand. The monsters were still after us but not to close. I rounded a corner without looking, which was stupid.

I saw three monster in front of me, they quickly turned around and started walking towards me. They were small ones I could handle them.

I let go of Nora's hand and swiped my knife at the first ones face. It fall down so I shot his neck and cut it very quickly.

The second one grabbed my arm but I quickly cut it off then swiped at its neck. Two down one to go. The other were here to now.

"RUN! I'LL FINISH THIS ONE! THE FLAT IS STRAIGHT AHEAD OF US GO!"

They looked unsure but Nora kept them going. I damaged the last ones legs and ran after them. Couldn't waist my time killing it.

I saw them run into the flat and look back at me yelling at me to hurry up. I pushed my legs further and ran as hard as I could.

I can't look back. If I do I'll slow down and be scared at how close they were. They were practically breathing in my neck so I wouldn't have to look back to see how close they were.

I made it to the door but the one behind me swiped its claws at my back. I yelled in pain and fell forward. I heard the door close and my name being yelled. Someone grabbed my arm and tried to make me sit up.  They were careful but not careful enough.

I cried out in pain and everything became black. Please don't let me die. Please.
