The end of us

Waiting.

It has been a day since we escaped.

The monsters were still around the shop, trying to find us. We were safe though, they can't open doors and then can't climb.

Kaitly's leg was getting better to, we stitched it up and it stopped bleeding.

My arm is mostly healed. There's a bit of a depressing but happy aura here. We're all sad we lost the house to those stupid and annoying things but still glad we're alive.

We still had to find a place where we will be able to stay. On a long term.

"Guys I think we should make a plan and search for a new house and stuff."

They both looked at me. Keagan walked to the couch and sat down in front of us. I was already sitting next to Kaitly.

"I brought a pen with me and thought maybe we could write on the wall? It's white so it won't be that hard."

"Good idea. How about you get the stuff while I transport Kaitly to the chair. That way she can see it too."

I nodded and went to my back pack. I pulled out the pen, after searching for a little bit, and walked back to them.

I stood in front of the wall and made a circle.

"Ok this is us." I made another bigger circle around it. "And this is the mall I'd say."

"As you can see we're at the beginning on the south site."

I made a square on the south a bit away from the mall.

"This was our house."

I turned around to see if they understood. They nodded.

"Now since this was a city we have a lot of options. I chose the house in the woods because it had a fence. BUT! When I got here I saw some building that still look live-bull way up here on the north side of the mall. Almost out of it."

"Flats or houses or..?" Keagan asked.

"Both but the houses are... damaged. Flats are still ok so we could investigate there once Kaitly's leg is better. If it's still live-bull than we could live there for awhile till we are either not safe again or till we find something better."

"Why wait for me? You guys could go and investigate once the monsters are gone that way we'd be able to move earlier. Who knows how long my leg will take to heal!"

She has a point. It could take weeks or even months before she's fully healed. I don't think we'd be able to be in such a small room that long.

But it'd be to dangerous for her to stay here alone and we'd be safer if we went in a group of three. More protection.

So what should we do? It'd  be a risk for all three of us to go out and it'd be a risk for all three of us to stay here.

"You have a point I'll give you that but I don't know if that's... smart. It'd be dangerous for all of us to go out now. You can't protect yourself so what if you get attacked? We'd be with two so if there was a horde on our way then we'd be dead. But if we stay here... I don't think it's a good idea to stay in a small space with the three of us for a long time. We also don't know how long it's safe here. It's a difficult decision."

Well I shared my thoughts. Now it's up to them to give their opinion about it.

And it looks like Kaitly will start.

"Yeah you're right. We'd all risk something in both options. I think we need to...think what the biggest risk is and then do the other one."

That is a good idea. Why didn't I think of that. In my defense I came up with the problems on both of the situations.

Keagan decided to join in too now.

"Obviously risking all our lives is more dangerous than being in a small space a long time. What do you guys think?"

He had a point lives are worth more then... space sharing? Is that a thing?

"You're right lives are worth more so let's stay here till Kaitly can walk and fight again."

They nodded at my decision.

Well looks like we have more waiting to do. Might as well unpack then!

"So should we unpack some stuff? Looks like we'll stay here for awhile."

"Mhhh yeah good idea." Kailty said while nodding.

Keagan nodded to. He isn't much of a talker now is he? He has a really hot voice though he should talk more. I want to hear him talk. What to say? How are you? No no that's stupid. We just left the house and the world is in danger, obviously he isn't fine.

Nice weather we're having huh? Ugh no it's still raining god Zack think!

It was getting really awkward real fast! Gotta start a conversation. So not the weather of how he is. Maybe a complement? You look nice in those pants? That's weird nope not doing that.

How do normal people start conversations? I haven't talked in like 5 years give or take. Maybe how are you is a good question.

I'll go with that. First I turned towards him, it'd be really weird if I didn't.

"So... how are you?"

He snapped out of the trance he was in and looked at me.

"What?"

He didn't even hear me. What was he thinking about?

"I asked how you are."

"O.. yeah fine I guess? I don't really know. There's a lot going on lately."

"Hm your right. You know you can talk to me right?"

He gave me a fond look and said "yeah I know. Thanks. And I will. Same goes to you ok?"

I smiled at him. I'm proud of myself. I talked like a normal human being to my crush. I'm a god.

"I thought that maybe we could look in the flats for 2 apartments or maybe one big one. Or a house. But I think that'd be to dangerous. In the flat we'd be higher up and more safe while the houses don't have strong fences so we'd be more vulnerable."

Keagan looked at me and thought for awhile.

"You're right. It'd be safer so we should check the flats out first. Maybe if we do find a house with a strong fence we could go for that but we have to play it safe."

"Guys?" It's was Kaitly. She was laying down on the couch.

"Yeah Kaitly?"

"Maybe we should sleep. It's late and even though we don't have anything to do tomorrow I think we should have energy incase something happens."

"You're right. Keagan you take the other couch I'll take the floor."

"You sure? You can take the couch if you want."

"No you take it. Maybe tomorrow we could look for some medicine for Kailty. There's a drugstore somewhere in this mall. Most of the monsters are gone to."

"I think that would be nice. I want my leg to be healed as fast as possible so we can get out of here. Now lay down and sleep, I'm tired. Night."

"G'night."

"Goodnight Guys."

Well we have something to do tomorrow! Thank god I was already getting bored. And I've only been here for a day. O the joy.

I posted two chapters in one day. I'm kind of proud of myself. But! Be prepared! Shits about to go down.
