Dragons are beautiful creatures, I know first hand because I was raised in the Drake Region, where dragons roamed freely, but even most the people there didn't get along with the dragons. They couldn't see the beauty before them, the dragons just represented money to them. Money is the fuel for everything in this country, hate, hunger, deaths...
The king of past time had put a bounty on all dragons, saying he wanted them all dead and he would pay a hearty reward to the one that brings it's head. This order nearly whipped out the entire dragon population!
I was drawn to dragons because of a different reason, I felt like my soul belong to them. It's difficult to explain...
All I can tell you is that when a dragon with fire for breath and golden scales to protect itself, stumbled across my path, I felt the need to stay with it from deep with in.
Since then I have risked my life for him.
As he has done for me.
