Ink bolted to the living room thinking that Error had hurt himself somehow, he was not expecting the destroyer of AUs to be curled in on himself, tucked away in the corner of the room, shaking and crying. Ink froze, staring at Error. He didn't know what to do in this situation, he obviously had never planned for this to happen. The worst scenario Ink had thought of was Error dusting him.

Beads of sweat appeared on Inks' forehead.

strings, shoddily crafted bones and millions of pixels surrounded Error.

Ink could hear static and choked sobs from where he was standing, way across the room.

Ink realised he wasn't doing anyone good by just standing there and speed walked over to where Error was hunched over himself. Ink sat in front of Error and stared into his sockets.

they were full of static.

Ink doubted if Error was even coherent.

Ink raised a hand and placed it on Errors knee.

It broke up into pixels and code.

not what Ink was expecting, but he would have to roll with it.

"n̷͈̼͇̠̳̻̘͋́̈́̊̕͝͝͠-̸̛͇͇̥͔̫̟͖̖̯̄̇̈͆͗Ǹ̴̛̥̫̳̜̤̳͎̥̓̇͆̎͜-̵̟͉̘̗̰͖͐͐̆́͜n̷̡̿̑̂͆͋͊̃̑̑͠0̸̨̧̱̱̻̃̇̃̂̐̿͠-̷̡̦̼̜̆̄̅̇o̶͈͉̤̘͑̀̀̈́͑̃͒͛͆͝-̵̧̡̣̤̟͉̲͎̤̭̐̅͐̓͛̀0̸̫͍̻̹̖̺̈́̾̓̐̏̈́-̷̨̻̪̤̜͚̤̺̇͒̋̄͊͜͜0̴̲͓͓͙̖̭̅͆̽̈̀̒́̕-̵͕̻̺̟̣̅̓́̄͒̚͜͠͠o̸͐͆̚"

it was barely a whisper.

it was barely comprehensible.

Ink couldn't help but wonder what had happened to cause this. had he panicked that much?

could be being placed somewhere he didn't recognise shake him enough to cause an attack of this scale?

An overwhelming sense of guilt crashed over him like a tidal wave and he began to tear up.

this was all inks fault

A glitched wail shook him from his woeful thoughts.

he focused back on Error.

Ink tensed up and began to shake

Error was rocking back and forth, chewing on his arm.

tears and drool leaking down his chin.

Ink was still sitting right in front of Error, but he was frozen. his limbs would not do as they where told and he felt useless.

he covered his mouth as Error began to scream.

he watched as he broke down.

his body only obeyed his command when Error had started to tug his arms out of his sockets.

Ink's hand carefully made its way from Error's knee and he gently placed it on top of Error's twitching hand.

Errors vicelike grip on his arms loosened a fraction. Ink's hands carefully guided Error's own and placed them on top of Ink's knees.

""̵̞͌ỉ̴̭-̷̪̫̤̤̂̇-̴̠̫͍͇̄̒͐̕i̵̛͔̪͋-̵̺̻̤̼̋̄̃̇i̷̢̦̹̐͌̍͆ ̸̡̮͙̒ͅd̵̲̓̕-̴̰̘̝̅̎Ḋ̸̢̜͕̰͒-̸̟̹̎͋ͅd̷̢̳̯̳̔̓0̵͚͈̌̏-̴̤͕͈̖͛́̍ó̷̠-̶̧̓0̵̩͍͗n̸̟̑͂̈́̕-̵̗̹̮̊ń̶̡̏̒-̴̖̐n̷͖̹̘̘̈́T̴͍̟̗̈̈́́-̶̛̰̬͊͆̇t̶̘̫͉̝̉͋̈̕-̵̕

Error gasped for breath and started to cry more heavily. he couldn't see. he was terrified.

Ink noticed error was gripping his legs like a lifeline. like any moment ink was going to walk off and leave him. Ink made reassuring noises as he gently lay Error down, letting his head rest on Ink's lap.

Ink new for a fact that Error couldn't see, his sockets were still filled to the brim with static and every time Error opened his mouth white noise and dial-up tones would come pouring out instead of actual words.

Ink started talking though. he wasn't completely sure that Error could hear him, but he still tried, it felt like the right thing to do.

ink stroked Errors skull, ignoring how warped and fuzzy it felt under his phalanges and told him about the little things that happened in the multiverse.

like what he did every day.

how to make tea.

what his favourite colours where.

what the rest of his house looks like.

that he doesn't have many friends.

that he doesn't have anyone to talk to...

Ink felt something scratch across his leg, it didn't hurt but it tickled a bit. Ink looked down to see Error lightly raking one sharp fingertip up and down his fibula, his smile was crooked and his sockets looked piteous.

Inks hand closed around Errors as they lay on the floor together in silence, both staring into nothingness. Ink smiled as small tears gathered in his sockets. "...what happened to you?" the question went unanswered and ink began to wonder if that 'conversation' was for nothing. until Error opened his mouth.

a soft trickle of white noise surrounded ink, slowly lulling him to sleep.

Ink and Error both closed their sockets and fell asleep in each other's arms.

ew. what tooth-rotting fluff. hope you enjoyed! (ps this is NOT one of Error's 'freakouts'. there's a lot worse to come. trust me)
