I met a great girl, she was tied with the best
brown hair and deep eyes, scars on her hand. (x2)
wasn't a flaw on her.
she goes and hugs me, pulls me up to her chest.
but she looks so still, almost like stone.
it broke my heart, and bruised my bones.
from letters to poems, I took her hand.
and we sat together, on the long journey home.
