does anyone just start absentmindedly flossing? I don't even like fortnight...

when Ink woke up, they were still clinging to each other and Error was still (thankfully) asleep. He completely understood though. Ink would have wanted to sleep forever if he was hurled into that situation.

he carefully shifted Error to the side and wiggled out from underneath him, murmuring soft whispers to keep him asleep. He saw Error smile.

Ink trotted over to Error and picked him up, again lying him on the couch and praying he would stay there.

Ink smiled, sighed and went back into the kitchen, where the cold cup of tea still stood on the counter.

he was still tired. but he didn't want to sleep.

he wanted to go to waterfall, to see the echoflowers. it was nice listening to what his creations got up to.

he walked through the door and took one last glance at Error before portaling off to another AU.

he was still asleep, which was good.

"I really hope he doesn't wake up while I'm away..."

ink made his portal and jamp through, landing in waterfall.

Ink walked briskly, not wanting to encounter Undyne and having to explain himself. he also didnt want to portal next to the echoflowers, that would ruin all form of entertainment as the echoflowers repeat the last thing they hear. All he would hear would be 'pssoom.'

ink sat down on the grass and carefully and listened. he heard giggles and laughter.

Ink smiled

"ah! dad, look at all those blue shiny things in the sky!"

a male monster chuckled, presumably the dad.

"there called stars, pet."

a gasp of wonder

"wow... I like stars! Can you touch it? Can I have one?"

more chuckling

"well... sometimes they fall from the sky and land on the ground. if you're lucky enough to find one."

an excited squeal.

"I'll try extra hard to find one. And I'm gonna give it to mum! she's not got out of bed in ages"

silence

"...you do that pet."

Ink frowned.

" c'mon dad! let's find one together!"

pounding of feet and laughing

ink moved on to a different patch of echoflowers and listened as the conversation continued.

small sniffles

"but I really wanted to find one and give it to mum..."

a sigh

"its ok pet, they don't look as pretty when they are on the ground"

Ink felt slightly worse than before and he wanted to go home, home to Error.

he portaled out of the field of echoflowers and back to his house and sighed in annoyance when he heard 'pssoom' being repeated by an echoflower behind him.

he walked into the living room and stopped.

he felt his magic marrow to ice as began to shake in anger.

The couch was empty.

And Error had gone

lol you thought it was gonna be THAT simple. sorry babes, I don't do 'fast pace.'
