'Why, did they have to turn her?'
That's all I could think as Anna made her way towards the alter. Her white almost glitter dress, trailed behind her perfectly. The almost translucent veil covering her now perfect features of blue eyes and blonde curls. Her eyes widen in surprise when she caught me, staring at her at the aler. I grabbed her flowers of white roses, holding them for her. Just until the ceremony was over.
I forced a smile. Making her not worry about my selfish feelings, on the day of her biggest moment in life. It really pained me to think my best friend, Anna, had to go through, even the smallest amount of pain to become something, she maybe didn't want to be. My best friend was just like a flower, delicate.
"Everyone, please take your seats" the priest said right after the music finished.
I didn't really focus through the whole ceremony. Because I was busy thinking about my best friend and how I couldn't be with her, all this time, I was with Darren.
I caught words like: 'Then forever hold your peace' or 'We are gathered here today' and 'the rings!' which were handed by the flower girl, bringing up a red pillow with two gold wedding rings.
Then 'Do you Anna..(later on) Jacob... take this...'.
Before I realised it, I was hearing: "You may now kiss the bride!".
I smiled at the scene before me as Jacob pulled Anna in a dip to kiss her for more than a couple of seconds. He bent down, meeting her lips with a smile. I could totally see the love between them, as Anna grabbed Jacob, by the neck, closer to her.
I caught Darren smiling too, meeting my eyes and winking at me. I couldn't help but smile wider.
I couldn't help but think: "Someday, that'll be me and Darren at an alter"
All of a sudden I could hear the crowd cheer and clap in delight and happiness.
I gave Anna back her bouquet of flowers, back with a big smile. Jacob and her ran down the carpet, and half way through the doors. Soon after, Me and Darren paired and walked down the carpet again. The bridesmaids and their partners following our lead. I could see past the doors, was an even bigger garden.
We all walked out the doors. The family member or wedding attendees, followed too. I was guessing this was the after wedding party?
"To the bride and groom, smile!" a man with a camera said.
Jacob and Anna got closer, hugging together and smiled.
"Everyone!" the man said backing up to get us all in.
I hugged Darren, as did everyone smile as the flash went off.
"Bride and her bridesmaids!" the man pointed to the fountain.
"Bye" I whispered excitedly to Darren, as I made it down the steps as did the other girls.
At this point the guests were getting all scattered and attending themselves to the free food and blood. Yes, blood in wine glasses. I was even tempted to get some after my photoshoot. The music blasted high.
We all got around Anna, trying to hug her. The wind blowing in our faces as the camera flashed bright, the fair sized fountain shooting water. The flash bothering my eyes for a second.
"Now the bride and her maid of honor!" the man shouted.
Now this was what I was waiting for. Anna and I hugging like we were taking an everyday hanging out picture. Big smiles plastered on our faces as the camera flashed again.
"Beautiful ladies!" the man smiled at us.
"The groom and his men!" the man shouted pointing to the tall green bushes.
