18~ Time To Turn

After my eyes gave up on producing anymore tears, I stared at the ceiling of my bedroom. And once I stabled my thoughts, I mustered courage to face reality.

I was losing time.

I needed to pick a choice. Either I'd die staying a human. Or died being human but woke up as a vampire. Tough decision.

If I died and stayed as a human....

I would never get to see Darren anymore. Never see my best friend Jacob, again. Probably end the line of successful vampires....

But then again, if I became a vampire fully....

I could still see everyone I cared about. Have kids of my own someday. Possibly pursued a career I loved....

I groaned out loud in frustration. Life was so hard to follow!

Darren's POV:

I stayed in my office in complete utter silence and stress. I was really worried about Candice. If she didn't tell me anything soon, I didn't know if I could save her on time.

"Darren!" I heard Candice scream my name.

I made my way to her room as quickly as I could. Which was in a blink of an eye.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"I made my decision" she said looking out the window, laying down on her bed.

I took a shaky breath in. Not knowing if Candice's decision would impact my life.

Candice's POV:

"I'm deciding that it should be you who turns me into a vampire. Other ways I'd rather die" I confided, looking at him.

I know this was the biggest decision of my life, therefore, I'd rather Darren help me become a vampire. After all we were mates, right?

He gave me the biggest smile, "Yes, of course" he said.

I just gave him a smile back. "So when do we do this?" I motioned to my skin condition getting worse, looking blue.

"I suggest in about an hour. Martha will help you get ready" he nodded leaving and calling Martha.

Martha walked in with a... dress??

"Hi, Martha" I smiled. "What'cha got there?" I asked looking at the dress.

"Oh, hello Miss Candice. Prince Darren has told me to make you a beauty for the awakening night" she said. "That includes Lucia and Tina" she smiled, looking at me.

"Did someone call us!" Tina came in with a smile.

"Hi!" I squealed happy to see them again.

"Go take a bath!! And hurry this time!" Lucia said rushing me towards the door.

It took about ten minutes to shower and then wrapped my body in a towel, walking out the bathroom. Their eyes, Lucia and Tina, wondered on my skin.

"What's wrong?" I questioned. "I look that bad?" I asked.

They both shook their head.

"No, it's just we didn't know this happened" Tina spoke looking at my skin.

"Well, this will be gone by tomorrow, hopefully" I said walking towards the chair they were close by. "Now make me beautiful!" I ordered.

"You know you are already, we just make sure it is shown" Lucia giggled.
