Chapter 13-Somebody To You

It was awkward and claustrophobic. I wonder how so many people could fit on a tiny couch? I could barely lift my arms because they were pinned by my side.

After the awkward introduction I was squished on the couch between two guys. They didn't notice me at first, because obviously it's not like I was in the middle if them listening to them bicker about some football game. I sighed and turned my attention to the tv.

"Oh sorry I don't think I've introduced myself properly." I was shaken out of my thoughts when I met a pair of bright blue eyes looking at me.

"Oh, um hi sorry I was too... Distracted my the tv." I said blushing looking down.

"I'm Tristan by the way," he said sticking his hand out. I stared at his hand as if it was the most dangerous predator in the world. After noticing this, he awkwardly cleared his throat and put his hand back down.

"And this here," he motioned to the other guy next to me. "Is Luke."

"I'm Laila." I finally said. Tristan's brown hair was disheveled sticking in every direction. I  restrained myself from fixing it.

"Hi." Luke said flashing me a crooked smile.

 He had black hair with a blue streak in it, and a lip ring and a nose stud and of course, he clothing was all black. He just screams bad boy. "Uh, hello?" We all turned to see and annoyed looking girl. Tristan rolled his eyes.

"This is jade, and the girl by her is Kendall."

"Hi." They both said in unison then giggled.

They were really pretty girls and I almost was self conscious from them. They looked so alike you could barely tell them apart only from Jade being a blonde and Kendall being a brunette, they were even wearing the same maxi skirts but different colors.

We just stayed like this on the couch, just talking, getting to know each other (well basically me) school etc. Soon Austin and his little red headed friend joined us. I think her name was Felicite but I don't really remember.

"Okay everyone, quiet down, now!" Alexis yelled getting everyone's attention. She was holding some blankets and a large bowl of popcorn.

"Movie time!" Everyone cheered rearranging themselves around the living room.

I still sat on my same spot on the couch but this time next to Luke and Kendall. Austin, Felicite, and Alexis were on the love seat. And Tristan on the floor next to my legs, same with Jade.

"So what movie do you guys wanna watch?" Alexis switched on netflixs scrolling through the selection of movies.

"What about Titanic?" Suggested Kendall.

"There's no way in hell we are watching that romantic shit." Luke spat chucking a fist full of popcorn at Kendall then getting a pillow thrown at his face.

"How about Evil Dead?" Someone said from the ground, I was pretty sure it was Tristan.

"Ewwww gross no, are you crazy? It's disgusting!" Felicite whined in her high pitched voice making me cringe. The room went into chaos. People yelling random movies, screaming to share the blanket, throwing popcorn everywhere making Alexis furious.

We finally decided to watch 21 jump street. Austin suggested it and I bet we were all to tired of yelling to object. The room fell silent as she played it. Instead the screen turned white and big black words popped on to the screen saying: YOUR NETFLIX TRIAL HAS EXPIRED

"Shit!" Austin exclaimed running hand over his face. "What's wrong baby?" Felicite cooed rubbing his shoulder. Making me wanna throw up and then punch her.

"I thought you said you paid it?" Alexis yelled her face turning red.

"Yea come on man! You wasted my whole Saturday!" Tristan also yelled getting off the floor.

"It...it was an accident, I'm only human guys."

"Well that human said he already paid for this month." Kendall getting off the floor. Austin said nothing looking down and his face turning flush.

"What are we going to do now?"

"Guys calm down." Jade finally spoke. She stood on the couch with her phone in her hands.

"If we wanna watch a movie why don't we just go to the movie theaters? And guess what movie just came out? The Fault in our Stars!" By now all three girls were jumping on the couch shrieking like a couple of fan girls.

"Ugh, the fault in my life." Luke blew out a breath obviously not a fan of romantic movies.

"Hey, stop looking miserable! You never know, you might even like it." I said to Luke trying to raise his mood as we got in the car. Problem by Ariana Grande blasted through the speakers as we got there.

When we arrived at the theatres we paid for our tickets and waited by the concessions stand and ordered popcorn and other highly priced foods. We were the first ones in the theater and we went to the very top taking most of the space. Soon the theater filled up and the lights dimmed down signaling the movie was starting.

"Ohmygoshhh! Did that seriously just happen?"

Tristan yelled as we got out of the movie theaters. His eyes were red and puffy and his nose was stuffy, signaling that he cried.

"Hey, it wasn't that bad-"

"Yes! Yes it was, I just can't... believe Augustus dies!" He ran his his hand through his hair. We all laughed at his little out burst.

"So how was the movie for you?" I asked Luke curiously.

"Nah, it was okay. Like I knew what was going to happen and it wasn't even that sad." He smiled claiming he didn't shed one tear as he stopped by the trash can throwing away used napkins in both of his pockets (thanks to Kendall who passed them out before the movie).

"Right?" I laughed as we walked to the car. Nobody really talked as we listened to the radio with a decent amount of volume.

When we came back to there house it was about 12:30. We all exchanged our good byes and hugs and got into our cars.

I started up the engine, and instead of hearing it roar to life it coughed a couple of times then went dead. "What, no!" I panicked trying to turn it on over and over again. Finally realizing that it wasn't gonna start any time soon, I let out a huff.

There was a loud knock on my window scaring me half to death. To my surprise it was Luke. I rolled down my window.

"Hey are you having car troubles?"

"Uh yea, I was turning it on and all of a sudden it just went dead!" I explained with hand gestures.

"Alright lemme take a look, pop the hood." I did as he said popping the hood open then getting out to look myself. When he lifted the hood smoke came pouring out making us cough heavily.

He studied it for sometime. "Ah I see now, your engine is fried and, your out of oil."

"What,what does that mean?" I asked Getting more panicked.

"That means that I have to drive you home." He smiled.

"No no, it's fine I don't want you any trouble-"

"No it's fine, I'd love to drive a beautiful girl like you home anytime."

I blushed, as he lead me to his car and drove me home.
