Part 8: Unexpected Scare

"What are you doing?", Y/N heard Kirito ask in a quiet voice. She turned to look at him, and saw a deep depression in his eyes. They looked dead and dark.

"I just bought a house.", She told him. "Good, that's good.", He said. He was too out of character for Y/N and Akuma to bare.

Something was wrong, and they didn't know what. He picked up a house catalog at looked directly at the SAO section. Without hesitation he chose a cabin. The same one him and Asuna had lived in.

Then he went inside. They didn't see him for another 10 minutes. They had stood there waiting for him to come back out, and then they got an invitation to his house.

Akuma didn't look very surprised, but it caught Y/N off guard. Akuma said, "I'm gonna knock himself back in his body for you.", right before she accepted the invitation and dissapeared. Y/N hesitated, then she noticed that there was another invitation. Both said 'Kirito', but she only got notified about one.

She didn't know if it was just a glitch in the system, or if someone was messing with her. She touched one of them and saw a cabin in front of her. "So it was just a glitch", she said to herself.

She walked toward the cabin door, and put her hand on the handle. There was a slight heat to it, not quite hot enough for a fire on the other side though. She slowly opened the door to see someone sleeping on the bed.

It looked like a little girl with night black hair in a white dress. The covers were barely covering her, even though there was enough to cover her body and more. She slowly walked in, and quietly closed the door behind her.

The little girl moved a bit, but didn't wake up. Y/N snuck around the place, trying her hardest to find as much as possible, but not wake the girl. However, Y/N didn't find anything on the floor, or in dressers, nor anyone other than the little girl.

When Y/N looked back at the little girl, it felt like her heart skipped a beat. Then the little girl woke up, and screamed "Mommy! Daddy!", the instant she saw Y/N. Y/N backed up against the door and tried to shush the little girl.

Then she felt a sting in her stomach. She looked down to see a black sword piercing through her abdomen. "How dare you try and take Yuri.", she heard Kirito's voice say.

Then he pulled the sword out, and Y/N fell flat on the floor. She hadn't noticed before, but she was bleeding, she only noticed after the pool of her own blood had reached her eyes. Then she closed her eyes.

When they opened slowly she saw herself somewhere else, but she couldn't move. There were many more people around her. But she only saw Kirito, and a man with red armor, and grey hair.

They looked ready to fight, but after the first swing of the other man's sword, some girl jumped in front of Kirito taking the blow. Y/N saw how angry Kirito got about the girl's death, and the mercilessness in his eyes. Then Y/N's eyes closed again.

This time when they opened she could see Kirito and some blonde girl. Surrounding Y/N was many people dressed in red, and so was she. She saw Kirito surrounded by words, and then turn into a monster. She was too afraid to move, and got picked up by the monster, and eaten.

Then she opened her eyes once more. This time she was looking at a screen with aquamarine hair, and Kirito with long hair, and both of them blowing up. Then she faded into darkness for the last time.

"Is this how far he goes for the women he loves? Am I someone he loves?" She asked herself, as she faded back in front of the cabin. This time Kirito and Akuma were in front of the cabin. Y/N asked Kirito "Can I ask you something?"
