I left the house feeling guilty - angry at myself for speaking to Maddie like that.
I huffed, entering the car and putting the keys in the ignition. The engine started, but I didn't move the car. I couldn't help but feel the need to go back inside and apologise to Maddie for acting out.. but I can't. I really need to leave.
With one last sigh of frustration, I reverse the car off the driveway and start to drive to my destination - EMI.
Over the last few months, I've been constantly writing songs. Even with The Vamps not present anymore - it's just what I do. Since being in The Vamps was my job - I quit - meaning I didn't have a job after I quit. I still had money coming in from sales and whatnot, but I kept my eye open for any jobs that sounded interesting.
That day came back in July.
Back in July, my old manger - Joe - called me to say there's a new job placement that needs to be filled. Since Joe knew I was looking for a job, he called me the signed me up. Obviously, I was over the moon that I had a job with money coming in now, but that means that I have to keep it down on a low right now. At least until things are secure.
The job I've been keeping on the low for 3 months now is with EMI - obviously. The job I got is a song writer and director - for other singers and song writers. The reason I've been told to keep it on a low is because this is a 3 months trial - and that trial ends today.
Today I have an important meeting with one of the bosses in my placement - song writing and directing - which is why I was rushing this morning.
Of course I forget to set my alarm on a day like today..
I finally arrive after a stressful drive. I was barely concentrating on the road because my mind was flooded with Maddie and how I treated her back at home.
Thankfully, I didn't crash or cause any accidents, but my mind is still focussed on her.
I exit the car and quickly get my phone from my pocket to check the time.
8:56am.
Thank god I'm not late.

Maddie
After Brad left in his tantrum this morning, Lily came into my room and cuddled with me. Jake started crying not long after Lily came in so I sorted him out and changed him before getting changed myself.
I carefully held Jake in my arms while Lily followed behind me with Pip trotting behind her. I held out my hand for Lily to take while we walk down the stairs. Once we were at the bottom, Lily ran into the living room to watch whatever cartoons came on.
With Jake still sleeping on my shoulder, I gently bounced up and down while pottering around the house, making sure everything was tidy and clean.
