[PRESENT TIME]

Maddie still has absolutely no clue where her pendant could have gone. Herself and Brad searched high and low, but still found nothing.

It's a frustrating time for Madison. Her parents are leaving the country, she's lost the only thing she has left of her father, and she's feeling immense anxiety.
Brad informed her earlier this week that EMI had called and left an email for Madison to read. As the brunette read the email, her palms grew sweaty and her legs couldn't stop jittering.

She felt much more than butterflies in her stomach. It was more like a herd of elephants. Her heart was hammering against her chest so hard she could barely catch her breath - but when she did - she calmed herself down and relaxed.

Madison hasn't had any sort of attack in a while, since being with Brad has always made her feel less anxious and more sure of herself.

The brown, curly haired boy ran into the room Madison was in and saw that she was shaking. Brad always assumed it was stress that was making Madison like this, but now he's starting to think it's something else too.
It could be to do with her parents leaving - which would be the obvious reason - but he's still unsure.

The two held each other in a tight hug, and as soon as Madison had calmed her nerves, she pulled away and explained to her worried husband what had happened.

The email EMI has sent had only sent Madison into more anxiousness.

EMI wanted a meeting with her this Friday, but with the anxiety, Madison grew scared of what might happen.
Madison has no knowledge about the music industry. She only knows from Brad's perspective - so she doesn't know how she will deal with it personally.

She knows music was, and still is, her husband's passion, but she's not sure she'll like it. Although Madison said she'd give it a try, she's beginning to see why she shouldn't.

Brad knew Madison was extremely nervous about this, that all of this is out of her comfort zone, but she wanted to do it. She knew she could sing, but she wasn't sure whether she was ready for that yet.
Brad thought she was more than ready. He thought she could own the stage of a sold out show, have the crowd scream back the lyrics of her own songs as the whole place lights up with spotlights - but Madison simply has very little courage and confidence to do that.

Also, the anxiety doesn't help. All it's doing is putting her off doing this and tempting her to say no to the offer.
The company may not like Brad as much, but they know somebody like Madison - who has little confidence and needs a little push - can be somebody someday.
