**A periwinkle room
With furniture of clouds.
A comfortably warm temperature.
A handsome man dressed in a
Sparkling dusty gray suit approaches and sits next to me
On the cloud couch.
He has a streak of gray
In his dark hair.
His hand encloses mine.
We turn to face each other and
I am rendered speechless
As I bask in his
Shimmering gray eyes.
I lean on his shoulder and notice
The constellations
In his sport jacket.
I close my eyes
And appreciate her Earthly lavender-scented perfume.**
Thank you, Moon
For that beautiful vision.
May I open my eyes now?
No response.
I open my eyes.
I hear a quiet snoring.
I am wrapped up with something, no
Someone warm.
His eyes are closed.
However, the moonlight streaming through the window
Causes the gray streak in his dark hair
To shimmer.
I nestle in his embrace and rest my head
Against his chest once more.
Outside, the stars twinkle in the sky, but none are as brilliant as
The Moon.
