Loneliness ate my heart last night
Frustration joined in too.
Inside I exclaimed,
An antidote!
And only thought of you.
I snapped out
And I cried
And the emotions
I felt inside
Were explained in the lyrics that I sang.
My heart felt trapped and confused
Because all I really wanted to do
Was talk to you.
Oh, well, at least I know
That the sooner I go
To sleep,
The sooner I can wake up and talk
To you.
At least that's how it seems.
