"Bucky..." Steve says, Y/N's body feels cold as I keep her close to me. I look back to the broken pieces that I presumed to be the gem, I carefully set her down onto the floor and get up. I walk to the broken pieces and pick up a handful, I bring them closer to my face and as they pass my leg they glow slightly. It stops glowing when I bring it to my face, I look at it confused before I bring it down to my leg again, it glows and I bring it back to my face. I do it two more times before I reach into my pocket on my mid thigh and take out the small gem.
The broken pieces glow dimly and I bring them closer together, the blue starts to glow brighter and the the gem in my right hand glows white with a bit of blue, pink and purple mixed in it. As they get closer the broken pieces start to float, the light starts to shine brighter and the gem floats out of my hand. The two colours begin to shine too bright for me to look at them, I jerk my head away and fall back. Holding my hand up to block the light I look at Y/N's body, it slowly turns into a blue dust and flys away into the light above me. The light blasts into a large ball and the three of us cover our faces, I cover my face with my left arm as small pieces of rubble fly around the room. The wind picks up and I blindly crawl away toward Steve and Tony.
Steve keeps his shields over his face and I can hear the clinking of the rocks hit Tonys suit, everything was loud and windy. Suddenly everything went silent and the light vanished, I looked over my shoulder into the middle of the room. A body stirred on the ground and I got up and quickly made my way over to it, I knelt down and turned them over onto their back.
"Y/N!" I gasp in joy, she opens her eyes and her face lights up.
"Bucky!" She says happily before jumping up and wrapping her arms around my neck, I hold her close to me and we embrace for what seems like ages. We let go of each other and she cups my face with her hands, we both have tears in our eyes and are grinning with joy.
"How are you- but- you? You died?" I stumble on the right words, she giggles and I smile; I've missed hearing her laugh, it always brings me joy.
"I think that when you joined the two stones together it healed me." She grabs my hands and holds them. Tony coughs and we look at him, Steve and Tony smile at us and Y/N let's go of my hands to run over to them. She wraps her arms around Steve and he hugs her back, she let's go of him and gives Tony a hug who made his suit retract. He hugs her tightly and she moves her head to hug him tighter as well. She let's go of him and the three of them start talking, I get up before something shines in my peripheral vision and I look in its direction. I walk closer to it and bend down to pick it up, I bring it to my face to see the pale stone has blue swirling inside of it. Light was still coming from the stone slightly and I shove it in my pocket.
"Bucky." Steve says and I walk towards them. "I think we're ready to go." He smiles and places his hand on my shoulder. I nod and look to Y/N whose paler than normal and shivering.
"Are you ok?" I ask her and she nods her head.
"Yeh I'm fine." She smiles and crosses her arms, her breath was shaky and her teeth slightly chattered.
"You're not fine. You're freezing cold." I place my hand on her cheek that was as cold as ice. She closes her eyes and nods, she hissed and rubbed her arms while her teeth chattered. "Do we have any blankets in the jet?"
"I think there might be one, we'll have to hurry though." Tony says.
"Can't you make warm clothes appear on you?" Steve questions and she looks down.
"I, I don't have magic anymore." She says quietly.
"What do you mean?" I ask her and she looks up at me.
"The explosion took all my powers from me. When our powers are taken away from us there's this toxin that's let into our system making us go ferrel. It's also passed onto anyone close to me who doesn't have magic, that's why Nickolai acted like me. Just, how they act depends on someone's personality. He attacked you because it's what he's programmed to do." She says and I wrap my arms tightly around her.
"Just because you don't have your powers it doesn't mean you're any less of a hero. You're still and always will be my Y/N." I cup her face and she smiles.
"Well the temperature will drop even more if we don't leave now." Tony says and he taps his chest making his suit appear on his body.
"Are you ready?" I ask her and she nods. She was only wearing a loose grey shirt with loose grey pants, she had no shoes on and her hair was dark and greasy. Tony and Steve lead the way and I stayed next to Y/N, I wrap my right arm around her to help keep her warm. We get to the room with the hole in the roof and Steve climbs up while Tony flies. "You ok to do this?" I ask her and she looks up, she nods her head and takes a shaky step towards the pile of concrete. She grabs onto the wall and slowly makes her way up, I stay underneath her incase she falls. Once she gets to the top Steve grabs her hand and helps her up, I climb up myself before my ankle is grabbed and I'm pulled down. I hit my head on the concrete and my vision goes blurry.
"Bucky!" I hear Y/N's voice echo and my head throbs, I hear the charge from one of Tonys guns and I hear the sound of bullets. I hold my head and get up onto my elbow, I take my hand away and feel something wet run down my fingers. I try and squint at my hand but my vision is too blurry, I squeeze my eyes shut and open them again making my vision improve slightly. Something grabs my left arm and I'm pulled into the air, I feel the cool breeze against my face before I fall to the ground on soft snow. "Bucky!" I hear her again and I look up, her face wasn't clear and I saw three of her.
I hold my head as pain circles through my scull and I feel her wrap her arms under mine and drag me in the snow, I can hear the jet in front of us. It was hard to see everything, there was always double the image and they'd always move and blur. The lighting changes and so does the temperature when we get onto the jet, Y/N helps me sit down as I feel the jet lift into the air.
"Here, put this on your head." I hear her voice and I see her hand me something, it was soft and slightly cold; I placed it on the back of my head and closed my eyes. I hear metal footsteps and open my eyes to see three blurry Tony's, they kept moving and lights flashed. I closed my eyes again and kept the pressure on my head, I felt something soft brush past my right arm but I kept my eyes closed. "Are you feeling any better?" Y/N's voice calms me.
"My vision is still blurry, but I can't really feel that much pain on my head anymore." I sigh and open my eyes, everything goes in and out of focus and I quickly shut them.
"Let me have a look." She says as she gently takes my hand away from the back of my head, I move around so she could get a better look. I feel her lift parts of my hair up. "You'll be ok, it's nothing serious, but you may want Bruce to check up on you when we get back." I open my eyes again to look at her and her face goes clear for a few seconds before blurring again, I close my eyes and she places the towel back onto my head and places her hand on my left shoulder gesturing me to lay down. I lay my head on her chest and she twirls strands of my hair around her fingers as she keeps her left hand pressed to the back of my head. Everything was quiet except for Y/N's occasional humming, I quickly fell asleep from her voice, it was comforting and angelic, I've missed it.
