Year 66
Set the balloons free
Toss the confetti
And pop the cork from champagne
We have retired!
And because we took such good care of our finances
We have a very nice nest egg or three
So, we decided to do what we've spoken about
For many years
We're going to travel the world
That is what we spent the next year doing
Most of our focus in Europe
Our passports looking mighty impressive
As did the Facebook page we shared
I'm pretty certain that our followers
Were quite tired of all the loaded pictures
After our first week of vacation
Yet we just couldn't help ourselves
We wanted to capture everything, every moment
For eternity
While in England
Where we rented a cottage in Surrey
For a couple weeks
You surprised me with a small, lovely ceremony
To renew our vows
And then we made love through the night
Like we used to in our younger years
So many pictures were captured that day
Of our renewal ceremony
Not the marathon lovemaking
